For thirteen-year-old Lizabeth, nothing else is more important than this day. The day that she's spent all of her life training for...the day that she has a chance to compete in the national dancers' team. The day that could, quite possible, change her life forever.
Or so she thought.
Instead, another large life-changing event occurs: a terrible accident that breaks her heart in the long run. And between that and her autistic little brother and school work, she's not so sure that she can handle the pressure.
Then one day in physical therapy, she meets a boy in a wheelchair. He can't talk or walk, but something about him makes Lizabeth realize that perhaps after all, she does need a friend.
