first interaction

It all started when Eli was walking to the library. He usually goes there everyday to study and drink coffee. He went inside and smelt the fresh smell of books and the lavender scent. The librarian waved at Eli since he's a usual customer. Eli waved back with a smile.

He sat down with his books he borrowed from another time and set them down. As he was opening it, Y/N taps his shoulder and looks down at the floor. Y/N is shy when it comes to talking to people alone, it's like they'll just start screaming at them, but this time they really wanted the book Eli was reading so they had no other choice. Eli look behind him and saw Y/N standing with blush tinted on their cheeks. He gave them a questioned look.

"Ca-can I borrow the bo-book you're reading..?" They stuttered while tapping their foot on the floor. Eli looked at Y/N and blushed almost. They had round glasses, and fluffy hair. Eli looked up at Y/N's face, they were pretty tall. "Su-sure. But please return it back." "Why did I just stutter???" Eli thought. Y/N smiled and took the book. "Thank you. But how will I return it without your number?" Y/N knew that was a clean but nice way of getting someone's number, but they didn't think of it.

Eli blushed a lot and jolted back where his back was facing Y/N. "Did you just ask fo-for my nu-number..?" Y/N stared at Eli in confusion till they realised what they said. "O-oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean it to come out that way! Sorry!" They looked in shock while shaking their hands up. "Shh! Quiet down." The librarian said. Eli turned back around, and looked up at Y/N again. "It's al-alright.. But here's my number." Eli hands him a paper with his number on it, Eli never does this at all but it was his favourite book and he wanted to finish it. "Ah.. Thank you.." Y/N fixed their glasses and ruffled up their hair. "Yo-Your welcome.."

At night. Currently Eli's POV.

"Hm. That person from earlier. They were kind of cute. Wait! No don't think that??! But then.. they are.." Eli thought as he turned around to text Indigo.
