After about an hour of mock fighting I decided I wanted to go for a run. I started off the opposite way toward the house but I only got fifty metres before I smelt an intruder. I looked around me but I couldn't see anyone or a cat. I heard a rustling in the a few metres in front of me.

I growled after I had found which tree this intruder was in. Next minute two blurs shot out of the trees behind me and rubbed around me, making sure I was fine. When I looked up in the tree where the intruder had been all I saw was an empty branch.

Next minute a blur dropped from the tree to my right and landed on my back. The cat was heavy and I felt my legs collapsed under me as pain hot and burning shot up my left leg. There was pressure on top of me and as I tried to move to thrash, I found I couldn't move them. The bastard had me by the scruff of the neck so I couldn't get away.

Finally the Tom on top of me was ripped off me his teeth tearing gashes along my neck. I whined and Lucas came and rubbed against me before going to go to bite the Tom on the throat to knock him out.

Once the Tom was knocked out my brother shifted back to human form to carry the unconscious Tom back to the house. Before picking up the Tom Ben bent down in front of me and asked me if I was alright. I shook my head from side to side.

"Lucas go hold the Tom's windpipe again and make sure he doesn't wake up. I need to look at Kiara's injuries," Ben said over his shoulder as he knelt beside me.

"Kiara I'm going to need you to lay on your side, ok?" I nodded and lay down on my good side.

"Ok this may hurt," Ben said sympathetically. I nodded again. He put his hand on my neck and moved the skin on my neck. "It doesn't look good sis," Ben told me before moving on to my leg. He touched my knee and I howled in pain. "Sorry. I'm so sorry. I think your leg is broken." He touched my shin and ankle. Every touch I howled in pain. "Lucas I need to carry Kiara home I think her leg is broken in a few places," Ben said to Lucas. Lucas padded over to us while Ben carefully picked me up and placing me on Lucas's back.

The trip back home was slow and agonizing but a least I am alive which was surprising because of the attack from the Tom could have killed me. When we were about halfway I started to feel light headed and not long after I passed out.
