You and your boyfriend Kendall started an argument last week, and it's gotten into a huge fight. You were getting fed up with it and went to bed early to get out of the fight. You were half asleep when you felt Kendall crawling into bed, as far on his side as be could get. You were surprised, since you were expecting him to sleep in a completely different room after the fight. You ignored him and went back to sleep. You woke up the next morning around 9:00. You turned over to check if Kendall was awake. Your heart sank when you saw nothing but a crumpled pile of sheets lying next to you. Maybe he's just up and around, you thought. "Kendall?" you called. No answer. You got out of bed and went into the hallway. "Kendall??" you called again, a little more loudly this time. Nothing. He left. You felt chills run down your back as you started to tear up. He left. By the time you were downstairs, tears were running down your face. Out of muscle memory, you went to the kitchen, but you realized you didn't want to eat anything. You walk to the window to let some light in the house. You open the blinds to see Kendall standing in the front yard, in the snow up to his ankles, next to a tree decorated with tinsel that was spelling out something. You couldn't make it out. You remember your glasses are on the counter, you grab them and fumble to put them on. You look out the window to read the red tinsel, spelling out "I LOVE YOU." Your heart jumps as you smile and run outside, not even bothering to grab a coat. When you open the door, Kendall smiles and opens up his arms for a hug. You run into his arms and bury your head in his chest, still teary eyed. You finally let go and step back to admire the tree. "I thought you left me..why did you do this?" you ask. He smiles. "I want to be done fighting," he says. "Me too," you smile and shiver. He looks at you, worried. "You should have grabbed a jacket..here," he says, taking off his coat and wrapping it around your shoulders. He looks you in the eyes, his hands still ahold of the jacket, and he pulls you to him and kisses you. When he breaks away you smile at him and hug him. "I'm sorry," he says genuinely. You look at him again. "I was part of this too..it's my fault too." He puts his hand under your chin and gives you a peck on the lips. "It doesn't matter who did what. It's behind us." You smile and kiss him back, before he pulls you down in the snow.
