Tik. Tik. Tik. Tik.
Was that the sound of a hand watch?
Tik. Tik. Tik. Tik.
It had been getting closer.
Tik. Tik. Tik. Tik.
I looked up, and my blue orbs met those of a dark, dark red.
Tik. Tik. Tik. Tik.
Who possesed those beautiful red eyes?
It was too dark to see, but I could see those red eyes. I began to try and walk around, feeling for a wall or any surface at all. "Alice," A voice murmured my name seductively. "Who's there?" I looked around, my long blonde locks flying in the air around me. "Alice," he called for me. "Come here," I could see his red eyes, looking at me longingly. "Why do your eyes frown, sir?" I asked to no one. "Alice, Come to me, I need you," He said, sounding sad. "Who are you," I started running toward the voice, toward their eyes. "Alice,"
"Alice, Please wake up!" sister had woken me up. "Alice, you keep falling asleep and I'm beginning to think that something is wrong.." She said worridly. I scratched the back of my head. "I'm sorry, I've just been really tired lately.." I trail off, thinking about my strange dream I had had earlier. "Just who was that guy..." I murmured. "Who? Are you talking to guys?" My sister had started asking frantically. "No sister! It's nothing!" I said quickly. She raised an eyebrow and sighed. She closed her book slowly after checking her pocket watch.
"I'm sorry Alice, but it is time for me to go try on wedding dresses," My sister had said quietly. She stood up from the bench we had been sitting at. I nodded quietly, accepting her busy schedule. She planted a kiss on my forehead before walking away with a wave of her hand. "My sister is so beautiful... I am nothing compared to her," I sighed. I glanced down at my feet. "I can not even hold a relationship with someone I find too dear to me," I whispered to myself. A flashback then appeared in my mind.
"Alice, I love you," He had said with a smile every time he saw me.
You're a liar.
"Alice, you're so amazing!"
You don't love me.
"I would be lost without my little Alice!"
Nothing you say is true.
"Alice, you are mine forever, and I, forever yours" He whispered into my ear
Liar.
He was always with me, and I, always with him. I loved him, and he was the first man I truly loved. His name was Lucas, and he had long brown locks which decorated his strong jaw line. He had honey colored eyes which I fell deep into. He was perfect, and he was my loving boyfriend. No one, of course knew. It was a secret love, because my sister whom takes care of me, did not want me to be dating yet. I told this to Lucas, but he didn't care, and neither did I. I loved him, and I thought he had loved me. That was, until I found out the truth.
I was walking through our rose garden, a beautiful garden with white roses only. I was looking for Lucas, to give him a present. I had purchased him a pocket watch with the money I had earned. Suddenly, I turned the corner to see something I had wish I hadn't seen. Lucas was there, but he was with my sister, whom I looked up to. They had been.. kissing. And Lucas saw me.
I turned on my heel, and I ran as fast as I could. I couldn't believe it. The two most important people in my life. I couldn't understand what was happening. I finally reached a tree and I had stopped and hid behind it. I held my hand over my mouth, stifling my cries and my other hand clenched the watch I had bought for Lucas personally. "Alice?" his deep voice echoed in my ears. I didn't come out from the tree. I was too scared to face him, too scared to accept that stupid truth. "Alice, come out," he said once more. I slowly came out from behind the tree. He walked up to me slowly. "What is that in your hand, Alice?" He asked me when he saw my hand clenched. I glanced down.
"I... had bought you a present," I whispered. He looked down on me, and he laughed. I looked up, shocked. Why had this guy been laughing? "You actually bought a present for me? You can't be any more stupid!" He held his sides while laughing in my face. Tears were falling from my face, non-stop, just by looking at him have so much fun laughing at me. "You actually thought my words were true? Who would like such a plain girl like you?! I obviously was just using you to get to your sister! God, what a boring, oblivious girl!" His words were like daggers shooting at me. Every insult, every god awful truth, it stung. It was unbearable.
I threw the watch at him, and glared. "What a child," I began. "What a child I was to even think you were worth my time!" I screamed, my words dripping with venom. "Tch, you should mind your place, brat. At least I gave you some of my time so you could live in your little fantasy world. You're the kind of girl that should just disappear!" He screamed at me.
I snapped myself back to reality after that horrible flashback. "Sis is marrying a bad man..." I whispered. I stood up from the bench at where I was resting. Some time ago, my tears had started falling. I thought I was over that jerk.. but.. I suppose I'm still not. "I just.. I don't want to be here," I murmured. "I want someone to take me away to a better place," I spoke louder. "I want to leave this place!" I yelled out. Suddenly, a gloved hand covered my mouth.
"I can help with that," the deep voice said. It had been the voice from my dream! I tried turning around to see him, but he had a tight grip on me. "It's going to be alright, my Alice," he had injected a needle in me, and I slowly lost my conciousness. The last thing I saw was a glint of red, and I heard a deep voice say, "Goodnight,"
