"Dad, where are you?" I say. I've just come back but he's not home. The lights aren't on and there's an eerie silence about the house. I stumble across the hall with my luggage.
Suddenly there's a ringing followed by a voice I've never heard before, "Truth or Dare?" It's nerve-chilling and I stand motionless for a second. "W-who is it? What sort of joke is this?" I stammer. The voice comes from a speakerphone.
"The rules are: No turning on the lights. Else it won't be fun. No using your phone. And no running away or a terrible punishment shall await you. Truth or dare?"
The word 'truth' rings in my ear. I'd been acquitted but no one understood. "D-Dare."
"Be level-headed or else.... Look for the colour you have your hand tainted with. Be careful not to bump into any vampires." He chuckles.
I panic but after a while, I find myself running towards the painting room. My dad likes to paint and that's probably what the colours are referring to.
