Almost is never enough // Kai Parker

Chapter 1

"Hurry he's gonna be here any minute" my older sister Bonnie yelled from downstairs
"I'm almost ready I just need to put my coat on" I say as I run down the stairs with my coat hanging off one arm
"Ok we'll Stefan is here already so bye love you" she yells as she runs out the door
"Hey" Stefan says walking towards me
"Oh hi"
"Shall we get going?" He asked politely
"Ya let's go"

-- Car Ride To School --

"Give a little time to me or burn this out, we'll play hide and seek to turn this around" Stefan sang as Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran played
"Hey your actually pretty good" he chuckled a bit after I said that because he knew he couldn't sing even if his life depended on it
"Not like your any better" he said as he did that sexy little smirk of his
"True but I least I don't sing in public where people can hear me"
"Oh whatever were here anyways so you won't have to hear me sing anymore" he just smiled when he said that instead of giving me that sad little kid look he always does.

"Your late Mrs. Bennett and Mr. Salvatore, carry on and take your seats I'll see you both after school in detention" Mr. Tanner pretty much scolded as we walked in only 10 minutes late, like at least were here now.
5 minutes into class and I already felt someone poking my back I turn around to find a smirking Jeremy handing me a note that says "Naomi" on it I open it under my desk and I wish I wouldn't of opened it because all their was inside was a hand drawn picture of this: 8------D not really a pleasant thing for them to show Naomi Bennett, A Bennett which in training.

"Omg why would you guys give me that," I said punching Tyler's shoulder "Mr.Tanner was already on my case for being late I didn't need him thinking I was passing notes too"

"Sorry Mi-Mi" Jeremy grinned as Matt and Tyler were laughing so hard because they knew I hated that nickname.

"Whatever bye" I said walking away as I heard a whistle from most likely Tyler.

"Izzy wait up" a familiar voice called
"Oh hey Care" I said as Caroline walked towards me.
"Guess who Damon and Elena caught?" She said happily
"Hmmm um Alaric and Jo" I said laughing because they had gone A-Wall ever since they found out that Kai could escape the prison world because Bonnie had left a small hole where Kai could get through to come back to the present day.
"Ha funny but no, you never gonna believe who they caught..." She said nervously "Naomi, they caught Kai"
"WHAT" I practically yelled
"Ya he found the hole and appeared in the Salvatore house like an hour ago" she said with a worried tone
"We have to go help them, and who knows he might even be hot"
"Omg I'm so telling them you said that" Caroline said with a smirk
"No no no please don't" I begged
"Okay fine but c'mon lets go"

-- Car ride to the Salvatore's --

"Only cause you got me feeling like this, oh why why why why why" the radio played as we sang along to almost every song that played

"You've got that James Dean daydream look in you eyes, and I've got that red lip classic thing that you like"

Right before I Don't Mind by Usher ft Juicy J finished we arrived at the Salvatore Boarding House.

"We're upstairs" Damon yelled
So we ran upstairs, we weren't surprised to find the room a big mess, Damon was tied to a chair and Elena was locked in the bath room. I ran to Damon while Caroline ran to help Elena, after I untied Damon he whispered something into my ear:
"Kai had some magic when he came so he did this, I know he's in the house still but he used a spell to make himself invisible"
I quickly put an invisibility spell on my self and went to check around the house for him finally when I got down to the cellar where they keep the Bourbon and to my luck Kai had taken the spell off himself so I could see him, and honestly damn he was attractive I know I shouldn't think that but it was true, he had blue-grey eyes and dark brown hair that was spiked up you could say, and you could tell he had a nice toned body because of the tight shirt he was wearing. I didn't notice I was staring or that he could even see me until I felt I was getting picked up.

"Put me down" I yelled but I didn't realize that 1. He was drunk and 2. He had put an invisibility spell on the two of us so no one could here me yelling except for him. He put me down and stood right infront of me, he was so tall he looked around 6'1. and I was only 5'3 so he towered over me. He took a sip of the Bourbon than said "Where are my manners, I'm Kai"
"K can I go now?" I said
"What, you don't wanna stay and have a drink with me?" He asked like a little kid, after him begging me to stay for about 10 minutes I agreed to stay with but not to drink, at the time I didn't really care how dangerous he was, honestly with him him I felt safe and secure like I felt with Stefan & Klaus. I sat there talking to him for around half an hour until I decided that I would take a drink, I took a sip of the Bourbon and it tasted good so I drank a bit more definitely not enough to get me drunk but I must've fallen asleep because I don't remember what happened after but when I woke up I was in a bed... I turned to find a very adorable sleeping Kai there i checked my phone and it was 7:45 shoot Bonnie is gonna kill me.
