I stretched my arms out, yawning. Sunlight poured in through the window beside me. I tossed my legs over the bed and got dressed quietly, strapping my dagger to my waist. I heard the clattering of a hammer against metal then smiled. Leo. I walked out of the dorm, shutting the door softly behind me then walked over to Leo's glowing forge.
The sky was still dark, so I assumed it was still around 3:00 am. I walked in and found what I had expected: A sweating son of Hephaestus pounding a scrap piece of metal. Leo beamed up at "Did I wake you?" he asked, wiping his forehead and standing up. I shook my head, leaning against a metal door "Nope. I was already up" He dipped the orange piece of metal he had been hammering into a bucket of water.
I observed quietly "Hmm, another dagger?" I asked after a moment. He nodded, slipping a thin end into a piece of leather "I taught you well" He set it down and dusted off his hands, giving me a smile. I smiled back and unconsciously fiddled with my own dagger that had been strapped to my belt "I have a good teacher.." He noticed my fidgeting and put away his small anvil before meeting my gaze once more "Want to take a walk?" he asked nervously, gesturing outside. "Sure, its not unbearably hot outside yet." He grinned, taking my hand "It's hot wherever I go" he remarked, stepping out. I scoffed and rolled my eyes "Sure, keep believing that" I muttered playfully. He offered me another smile "Trust me, I will..."
So, another chapter... Yay.. I apologize for it being as short as it is, but I will update again soon. Please comment and vote! All suggestions are welcome!!
