AUTHOR HERE- I did not mean to but I just listened to pains theme on loop the entire time it took to write this chapter so here it is AHAH HERE IS THE SONG THAT INSPIRED THIS CHAPTER ANYWAY

--------

I really did end up waiting in his office until he got back, I was still mad but I was hungry too. Ray brought me freshly baked cookies that he and Jemima made. Ray acts like her dad a lot, it's so sweet of him.

It's been almost 2 days since Norman left so he should be back any minute. It was late at night, about 2:00 am. That's when he finally returned, problem is, I was asleep.

--

Vincent warns me of who's waiting for me in my office, I take a deep breath fearing the worst. Yet I'm also mad at Vincent for slipping up and telling her of my plans.

I turn the door nob but feel a tap on my back. It's Ray.

"Hey there," we hug for a brief moment.

"Welcome back, Emma's very upset right now,"

"Yeah, I'm sure she is. I feel horrible,"

"Then head in there and face her, and let me know how it goes," Ray pressed his lips to my cheek and headed off for bed, "Goodnight, Norman,"

"Goodnight, Ray,"

Once again I turn the nob, opening the door. My lamp was turned on, dimly lighting the room. And there was Emma, laying down on one of the couches. Though seeing her asleep makes me feel better. She seemed to be told when I touched her so I dug through a wardrobe next to one of my bookshelves to get her a blanket. It was very soft and a light sage-green shade. I covered her up with the blanket, making her look a lot more comfortable. Maybe she'd like to wake up in a bed, then again if she's going to talk with me it should be in here.

I kissed her on the forehead and carefully ran my fingers through her hair while she slept like a baby. She's very adorable when she sleeps, she seems so peaceful and gentle.

I switch off the lamp and lay down on the other couch. It was cold, but it'll have to work.

-

I must've been more tired than I thought. I got about 8 hours of sleep making me miss breakfast. Emma woke up much earlier though but stayed reading a book while waiting for me to get up.

When I did wake up I remembered what had to be done in just a few days: I head to the capital and go over the plan of taking out the royals and everyone around. Luckily the drug will have the demons take out each other.

I don't have time for personal problems so whatever Emma needs to say it better go quickly.

"Did you sleep well?" she asked me while reading some book on the couch across from me.

"Yeah, and you?"

"I slept pretty well,"

"That's good,"

"Did I do something wrong?" she quickly changed her tone, sounding more angered than sad.

I take a deep breath, "What do you mean? Of course not,"

"Why did you kill Lethabo?"

"Who is," she cut me off, "Why didn't you tell me about your plans? I don't know the details, but I know it's already a terrible idea!"

"Emma! Let me explain,"

"You don't need to, I already know you don't want to hear a word of my opinions after what you did to that demon child. You know I'll be against wiping out the entire species and so you try to hide that from me?"

"Emma,"

"Norman, why don't you,"

BANG BANG

A sudden knock at the door stopped the both of us from speaking.

"Boss," A muffled voice from the other side of the door yelled to me.

"We need you, there's not a lot of time to waste here,"

I made my way to the door, opening it. Vincent greeted me then noticed Emma in the room, he looked at her for a brief moment then back at me, "Barbara, Zazie, and Cislo are in the basement. We can talk there,"

"Very well,"

If it's this important, then I'm sorry Emma but it will have to wait.

"Wait, you can't leave like th,"

I waved her goodbye, I didn't smile though which made me feel terrible. The human race will survive, I will bring peace for us all. It will all go just as planned, I see no flaws.

--

He left me here. I wanted to say so many things, of course, I want to scream and cry now. We can't wipe out the entire species over something that can be fixed. What is there that I can do? I would need to talk to Norman about Sonju and Mujika, but will I get the chance? Or will I be too late? If either of them were to be killed I don't know if I'll be able to smile again.

If Norman won't talk to me, it'll be a lot harder to get things done. No, damn near impossible.

IMPORTANT!!!:

i realized I messed up the timeline so badly from this story compared to the manga. i wanted to make it seem very similar but there are so many flaws I want to rewrite the whole story.

Let me know what you think because what I have published is just not good but if you all like it I will keep going with what I have planned.
