You grabbed her face to make her look directly at you. There were specs of blood coating her uniform, you brushed that concern away.

Her blue eyes felt like that they we're staring into your soul. She looked lost and scared, "run away with me." You said in one breath.

Annie turned her head, her gaze focused on two men in particular.

Reiner and Bertholdt.

Were they holding her back? You gritted your teeth and jerked her attention back to you.

"Come with me. Please, we can live outside the walls in a cottage. Just us two."

Annie placed a hand on your arm, she gently pushed it so your arm fell to your side. "You don't understand I can't."

"Why not?" Your voice was shaking.

"You have no idea what a monster I am...If you knew I'm afraid to imagine  what you'd think of me."

You brought the blonde into an embrace. "Annie how could I ever hate the woman I love. That's absurd."

She pressed her face into your neck, fingers clenching your uniform tightly. The guilt piled up high inside her, Marco was your best friend along with the trio of Jean, Sasha and Connie.

If you ever knew what'd she'd been made to do. "I love you too (Y/n)." If it could remain a secret then let it.

If it meant keeping you by her side then she'd take it to her grave. Annie removed her face from your neck and stared directly at you. "I love you so much my heart could burst (Y/n)."

Her lips felt tender on yours, so sweet, so caring. Her kiss spoke so many things that you hadn't heard but also couldn't figure out.

You rested your hand on her chest as you titled your head to the left slightly to deepen the kiss. Annie's heart beat furiously through her clothes, you could feel the skin rise and fall quickly against your palm.

Imagine if her heart could burst, just from all the affection she harboured towards you. Your mouth departed from her's, "my sweet." You whispered so only she heard.
