Once Again

Chapter 11

"E-evan... "

"I knew it. You just faking about not hungry right?? Why must you lie?? If it's cause by what happened earlier... I'm sorry. I know that I can't tease you like that. So, I'm begging you... Please don't try to avoid me. I will make sure that thing would never happen again" said Evan. He's face looks a little bit dissapointed with Raenifer and he's face also show the sadness that he tried to hide but Raenifer knows that she already make him misunderstood.

"No!! It's not like what you thinking. I'm just.... " Raenifer looks at the maids who are staring at both of them

"I'm sorry but can all of you give me and Evan some space" said Raenifer

"A-alright, my lady" the maids rush out from Raenifer bedroom

"Evan... Come here" said Raenifer and her hands gesture tell Evan to sit next to her. Evan sit next to her but didn't look into Raenifer face

"What do you want to talk?? "

"Actually.... I'm not avoiding you. I'm just too shy to confront you. That is why I lied to you. I thought that you would not get mad at me"

"Haaa... So it's just about shy?? Oh my goshh Rae... " said Evan with sighed and he put his hand on his forehead.

"I'm sorry if I make you worry. I'm also sorry about make you mad. I know I'm just your contract fiancee but I always do what I want right?? "

"I never think you as my contract fiancee... " said Evan with a whisper voice

"What?? I can't hear you"

"Haaa... Nothing. You can continue to eat your dinner and go to sleep after that. One more thing, two days later we will enter the castle"

"Ca-castle?!! But why?!! Are you going to punish me for lying to you?!! " Raenifer shake Evan shoulder and she was very panic

"It's not about punishment. The emperor want to see both of us. Don't worry I will be there with you"

"Fuhh... I'm so glad that you will stay by my side. But, why the emperor want to see me too?? "

"I don't know. By the way, you can continue your ideas to plant flower and do anything that will make you satisfied. I gotta go now... Sleep well"

"Goodnight Evan"

"Goodnight Rae"

Evan walked out of the room after wishing a goodnight. Then, Raenifer finish all her food and calling the maids to clean up. After shower, she sit on the sofa and pick some novel and start reading it for about 1 hour.

"This story is so sweet. The male lead was very caring about the female lead. He also so romantic when propose to the female lead. Actually, I'm kinda hope that Evan will propose to me too. But, yeah we don't love each other so why must we do the same thing as the real lover. Anyway, I hope someone that will come into my life will do this kind of romantic proposal for me too" said Raenifer and she begin to think about the hero in her world while smiling happily and close her eyes.

Next day...

"My lady the seeds already arrived. You can look at it now" said Charlie

"Really?!! Thank you Charlie for your trouble"

"You're welcome, my lady"

Raenifer go down the stairs to see a workers put down a box that fill with pack of roses seed. But, there are also lily seed on the other box

"Charlie didn't I told you that I only want the roses seed?? "

"Ahhhh this lily seeds is from the Duke. He asked me to purchase the lily seeds too for you"

"The Duke?? Isn't the Duke does not like flower?? Why he want me to plant another flower?? "

"It's a gift, my lady. He said that he purchase it because you looks beautiful like a Lily"

"........." Raenifer blushing and cannot said anything

"Are you alright, my lady?? "

"Ahhh.. Yes yes. Can you say thank you on behalf of me to the Duke?? I think today I will be very busy because I want to decorate our garden too"

"As you wish, my lady"

Then, Raenifer and the workers went to the garden and she help the workers to clean up and decorate their garden to make it more beautiful and cheerful than before. While inside the office room, the Archduke was staring at Raenifer through his window while cross his arms. 

"For the first time, I saw a woman who was willing to help people which are lower rank than her. I think that she's different from all of the woman that I have ever seen. Don't you think so. Charlie??" asked the Duke to the head butler.

"Yes, your grace. I'm also thinking like you. Lady Denner was really a unique woman, if another noble woman at her position they must always order people around and act like a real Duchess in this house. But, my lady was humble and always thanked people who helped her. Duke Denner and his wife have raised her so well" answer the butler

"I think I make the right choice to make a deal with her" said Evan and smile while look at Raenifer doing her work so happily

"Our Duke already grown up. It's been a long time since I saw him smile proudly like that" think the butler

Knock! Knock!

"Your grace, the carriage has been ready. We can go now" said Leo the secretary of Evan. Evan nodded and take his coat and went out.

Meanwhile at the garden...

"Haaa... the garden already clean now. Maybe we should take a break and continue after eat some snacks. It's already afternoon right??" said Raenifer to the maids and gardener. The gardener sit on a bench while the maids go into the kitchen to bring some snacks for Raenifer and the others. After that, Raenifer plan to bring some snacks for Evan so she go to the office and she saw that Evan was not there.

"Where did he go?? Didn't he always in his office??" Raenifer closed the door and suddenly Charlie approached her.

"My lady, are you looking for the Duke??" asked Charlie

"Ohh yes. Did you know where is he?? I brought him some snacks so that he can eat while working"

"The Archduke went out for work, my lady. He went to the military place to train the soldiers before the expedition" explained Charlie

"Really?? Hmm... it's alright. I will just keep doing my work. I'm sorry if I disturbed your work Charlie"

"It's alright, my lady. If the Duke is back I will inform you"

"Thank you for your help" then Raenifer walked away from there and start thinking while walking

"I never see him went out from here to work. I thought he only work from home. As expected, he's such a capable Archduke always do his best to complete his duty as the Archduke" think Raenifer proudly and went back to the garden to meet with the workers.
