A few years later..
"Mama aani ne meri notebook phar di. Mera maths ka homework tha usme. Ab mai kya karun?" Sumbul heard a very upset Zaim's voice from the kitchen where she was cutting vegetables for lunch. Sighing frustratingly she hit her forehead and readied herself for the upcoming drama.
"Kahan hai wo nalayak." She made her way towards them in the living room after placing the knife on the cutting board.
"Yeh dekhein, sofe ke piche chupi hui hai." Zaim replied and held her hand who blinked her big eyes innocently.
"Badmaash!! Kyo phari bhai ki notebook? Bolo............. Ab aaiyenda se aisi galti ki toh maine tumhari pitai lga deni hai." Sumbul held her arms and glared at the kid.
Looking at her one and half year old daughter's innocent face almost melted her heart but she have to strict with them as her husband had been pampering them enough. it's necessary to discipline the kids from childhood."Mama rehne dein. Isey mat datein. Mai phir se homework kar lunga lekin aap......" When he looked at his adorable little sister's puffed face, he felt like protecting her from his mother's scolding. He kissed his baby sister's forehead affectionately and reassured her with his dazzling smile. The toddler finally smiled her toothy smile and happily hugged him with her chubby hands. she shook her head on her son's selflessness.
"Acha bachu, bada pyar aa rha hai behen pe. Tum dono ke jhagre me ab mujhe parna hi nhi hai. Dono bhai behen ek dusre pe jaan chirkte ho." Sighing audibly she went to the kitchen not before asking him again about his whereabouts but as usual he hadn't had the time to spare some seconds for her. She thought angrily and switched off her phone.
Zaahid was out of the city for some work since two days. He hadn't called her back nor replied her massages since yesterday. She had talked to him when he had reached there.
"Uff merey Allah mujhe sabr de, mujhe bahot jarurat hai please." She annoyingly put the spatula in the slab and went to the toddlers room, where her other twin Haniya Zaahid was crying her lungs out. Usually she is more calm than Aaniya but when she would woke up she would want to see her face first. She lifted her up in the arms and cooed sweet nothings in her ear, giving Hani her undivided attention. She put her on the floor as it was already late for the lunch preparation and the kids would be hungry after some time.
"Maaaaaammmmnnnaaaaaaaaa.........
Haniya's painful cry echoed in the whole house. She hurriedly moved to see them after turning the stove off."Ya Allah!! Kya ho gya hani?" Sumbul asked panting heavily. She frowned and lifted a crying Haniya in her arms. She glared Anaya furiously as she had pulled her hair. Zaim who was in his room, doing his homework came running too. He held Aaniya close to him. She looked too scared as she knew how wrongly she had behaved with her twin.
Sumbul smiled at the scared little girl and beckoned her to come after Haniya had stopped her crying session. She crouched down to her level and kissed her forehead affectionately. Aaniya came running to her and hide herself in her mother's warm embrace.
Zaim kissed his mama's cheek and told her that he is going to complete his homework. She lovingly patted his cheek. The twins played with their stuffed toys in the living room after she went to the kitchen again.Sumbul rubbed her forehead with her thumb and forefinger tiredly. It's not easy to maintain peace in the house with two mischievous toddlers. But she wasn't complaining. After years of waiting patiently and getting treated for her infertility, her Allah finally accepted her dua in the form of her girls. She was already Zaim's mother before but she felt the need to feel someone's presence inside her womb like every woman. The twins entry made their lives more beautiful than before.
Zaahid knew how much difficult it's gonna be for Sumbul to grow the kids alone as now they didn't live with his family anymore so he had appointed a nanny for the babies but she couldn't come today for some family problems. Zaim is a smart kid. He is more matured than his age. When she would got tired running around in the house, chasing after her mischievous toddlers he would help her out. She was worried when she had found out that she was pregnant. It was surely a wonderful feeling but she was worried that what if she wouldn't love Zaim like before. But Zaahid had made her understand that she would always be a mother to him and he knew how much she had loved him. Her love for him wouldn't lessen a bit even if they would have more kids.
