This man was the development director and Game Master of the popular Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (such a mouthful), known as Sword Art Online. But the game turned to a living Hell as Kayaba released the information to all 10,000 players that if their HP were to drop to zero, that their avatar would disappear forever and simultaneously their brains would be destroyed by their virtual reality helmets, know as NerveGear. And even as they spoke, some players had already died from this, as players' families tried to forcefully remove the NerveGear, eliminating the player forever.

As the players uproared with rage and cowered in fear for their lives, one AI was as busy as ever, as its job was to monitor the mental states of all players which were of course, utterly horrible as people lost their sanity. This AI was once allowed to interact with players to keep their mental states stable. But one day, this ability was stripped as she was forced to watch the players, and only watch them. This lead to many more deaths due to insanity and suicide. This AI, who was forced to watch these tormented players, was Mental Health Counselling Program 001. Codename: Yui.
