We were off to find anything that could kill Salvullaz. What we were specifically looking for were fireworks since they could do the most damage to Salvullaz.
"Guys!" I yelled, lifting up a garage door.
Inside the door were two Golf Carts, each could fit four people.
"Nice!" Mae said, hopping to the front seat of one.
Jack, Jhett, and I went in one and Conner, Gracie, Kaycie, and Mae in another. We all started up the electric engines and started going. The awesome thing about these golf carts was that they were silent and the engine could last 12+ hours.
"Let's do this!" Jhett said, driving out of the garage.
The rest followed.
"Alright guys, we need fireworks. Conner, Kaycie, Gracie, and Mae will find any place that sells fireworks and take every little bit. Leave nothing behind. Jhett, Jack, and I will find gunpowder, fuses, and giant wood cylinders to build giant fireworks. Let's kick some demon ass!" I finished, everyone going in seperate directions.
Jhett, Jack, and I had to raid houses to find anything sort of fuse or gunpowder, or cylinders that could hold a couple of fireworks. The way that we could enchant the fireworks was to sprinkle some of a piece of smashed Ruby's Knife onto the fuses and stick them inside the fireworks. Salvullaz was going to die, not just for me, but for everyone he's hurt.
"Take a right and we'll look around the dump. There has to be some wood there," Jack said.
I turned right and stopped a few feet from the dump, which was an area of land that was covered with trash. If there wasn't wood there, then there wouldn't be wood anywhere.
Jhett jumped out of the back of the golf cart, his spear in his hand. I parked the cart and jumped out too. Jack decided to stay back and watch the cart, making sure nothing takes it.
"Jhett... what's that?" I asked, pointing to a mound of trash that seemed to be moving.
"What the hell?" Jhett asked, spotting it too.
We looked out a little, but it stopped moving for a few minutes, so Jhett and I jumped into the trash.
"Damn, this stinks," I said, landing in some filthy water.
"Dude, it's moving again," Jhett said, pointing out the trash again.
All of a sudden, something else started moving from across the first one that started moving. Another started moving and another and another. Then, what seemed to be a tentacle started moving up and down in front of us.
"What is that?" Jack asked from the cart.
Two horns appeared from under one of the trash mounds. Then, a green monster with tentacles came flying from under one of the mounds. It had sharp teeth with blue spots. The Horns were as sharp as anything I'd ever seen before.
"What... the... hell..." Jhett stuttered.
It let out a ferocious roar and swung at us with its huge tentacle. Jhett and I dodged the first swing, but Jhett got hit by the second swing. His spear got flung from his hands and was now seven feet from where he was laying.
"Get the golf cart started!!" I yelled to Jack, running over to help Jhett up.
Jack grabbed the keys, but missed the keyhole and was shaking from the terror he was witnessing.
"Jack!" Jhett screamed.
"I'm trying!!" Jack screamed back.
I ducked a swing and ran to pick up the spear that Jhett had lost. I picked it up and stabbed it into a tentacle. The monster screamed in pain and started freaking out, swinging around and throwing trash all over the place.
"I got it!!" Jack yelled, Jhett and I ran to the golf cart.
Jack started backing up and spun in a circle, and started to go forwards. The monster ran after us and we tried to go faster, but the monster caught up to us and tried to flip the golf cart, but we stayed upright.
"Drive faster!" Jhett yelled.
"I'm trying!" Jack yelled back to Jhett.
The monster kept trying to knock the golf cart over, but Jack was able to keep it balanced long enough until we reached a low-lying structure.
"There's a bridge right next to Magnolia Park. If you ride under it, we should be able to lose the monster," I told Jack.
We started turning around the loop that was right in front of the school's playground, the monster still close behind. The monster let out a terrifying roar and hit the top of the golf cart.
"Keep control!" Jhett yelled.
The golf cart was swerving back and forth, but Jack was able to keep control long enough for us to pass under the bridge... well, we didn't make it to the bridge. The monster hit the golf cart and it went flying(with us still inside) into the school. CRASH! We crashed into a window.
"Ouch," Jhett said, trying to get off the floor.
I stood up and looked around. There were doors lying on the floor and glass that had shattered litterled the floors. Jack and Jhett stood up too, inspecting the place we had just fallen in. It was the elementary school, a pretty big one too.
"Let's look in a science room, maybe they'll have something we can use there," I said, starting to walk down the hallway.
I kicked open the first door, but there was nothing in there. We decided to just look inside for a little bit, just to see if there was anything cool. I flipped over a few desks, but there was nothing inside it.
"Damn, nothing that was can use," Jack said, turning around and walking out the door, soon followed by Jhett.
I looked out the window and was met with something moving. I ducked my head and hid under the window right next to the wall. I held my breath, praying it wasn't Salvullaz. I poked my head up and saw that it was just a demon moose. I took a breath of relief and stood up.
"Zack! You coming?" Jhett yelled to me from the hallway.
"Yeah! I'm coming!" I replied, running after him.
We walked into the library and saw bookshelves filled with books, so had dust and cobwebs on them.
"How the hell are these books already covered in dust? It's only been a few months," Jack pointed out.
"Just ignore it. If you don't think about it, it'll go away," Jhett replied.
We kicked in some doors, but unfortunately found nothing that could help our cause. No wood, no nothing. We walked down the hallway and into the cafeteria. I had gone to Magnolia Park since Kindergarten, so walking into that cafeteria was giving me flashbacks to when I was in 3rd grade.
Tables were flipped over and trash cans had been invaded by rats. Jhett kicked over a trash can and a bunch of rats came from the can. Jack and I flinched, but went back to searching.
"Do you hear that?" Jack asked, looking around.
"Hear what?" I replied.
"Just listen," Jack told me, Jhett and I silent.
I could hear something like scratching from inside the walls. I looked at Jhett and looked around, trying to figure out what the sound was. Then, a crashing sound came from the hallway from behind us. A bunch of rats came from out of the kitchen area and ran out the back door which led outside.
"Why are they... running..." I said, slowly turning around.
Jhett and Jack turned around and stared outside of the door. A crashing sound came from outside the door, as something was coming closer to us. I was frozen, petrified by fear.
"What the hell is that?" Jack whispered under his breath.
"What if it's Salvullaz?" Jhett said, clutching his spear tighter.
"It's not. It's something... bigger," I replied.
The crashing sound was getting closer and closer to us, as rats from every which way were trying to get away from whatever was down that hallway.
"Go!" I yelled, turning to the door that led outside.
Jack and Jhett followed me, but the door slammed shut, locking itself from the outside. I pulled on the door handle, but it wouldn't open.
"The only out... is out that door," Jhett said, pointing to the door.
The crashing noises came closer and closer until we could see a shadow. It was a huge shadow, maybe eight feet tall. Jack, Jhett, and I backed up, terrified of what was walking right in front of us out that door.
"Let's just face it. It can't be that bad... right?" Jack asked.
"Now it's going to be bad, thanks Jack!" Jhett yelled, angry.
Then, a giant rat came in front of the cafeteria. We froze, terrified by what we saw. It was something straight out of a horror movie. I tried to walk further back, but I ran into the wall.
The rat was eight feet tall with green goo dripped from its eyes and mouth. It seemed to be blind in both eyes, both sliver color. It had crooked teeth which could probably bite through straight steel.
"Damn it, Jack! This is your fault for saying it wouldn't be bad!!" Jhett yelled at Jack.
"Dude! Shut up! I didn't want to come into here, but the stupid monster knocked us into here!" Jack yelled back.
The giant rat let out a screech and started to run towards us. I jumped out of the way as it hit the wall behind us. Jhett and Jack ran into the kitchen area and hid in there as I fought off the rat.
"Guys!" I yelled.
"You've got this! I hate rats!" Jack said, happy he wasn't the one doing the slaughtering part.
"Damn it!" I yelled, angry at Jack and Jhett for being cowards.
I jumped up onto a table that hadn't flipped and stood my ground.
"It's over, rat monster. I have the high ground!" I yelled, saying a Star Wars reference.
"That's the worst thing you've ever said," Jack said.
"Oh, shut up already," I said, jumping off the table and slicing the rat's stomach.
I stood up, but was hit by something and slammed into the wall. I looked up and saw Salvullaz standing there, next to the rat.
"Oh no," I said, trying to stand up, but Salvullaz came over and grabbed my neck.
Salvullaz lifted me up into the air and I blacked out, seeing nothing but blackness.
