Chapter Twenty-Six: The Final Plan

I had a nightmare that night, it was terrifying. I woke up from my sleep in the middle of nowhere, probably not in Ocean Springs anymore. I sat up and looked around, trying to figure out where the hell I was.
"Hello?!" I called out, but there was no answer.
I kept asking myself where I was, but I had no idea. I looked around for about ten more seconds before I stood up and spun a 360 degree circle.
"Hello, Zack," A voice said from the shadows.
I turned around and saw Salvullaz leaning against a tree a few feet away from me.
"Where did you put me?" I asked him, reaching for my machete, but it wasn't there.
"Why don't you figure that out?" He said, ushering me to the tree line.
I walked up to the trees and started to walk through them. After ten seconds, I walked out of the trees and onto the beach of Ocean Springs. The sand was a golden yellow and the water was a sparkling blue.
"Why am I here?" I asked.
On the beach I saw two people sitting on the sand. I started to walk to them, but it seemed that I couldn't reach them. I tried my hardest, but couldn't get a couple of feet towards them.
"I want to show you something," Salvullaz said, pulling me away from them.
"What?" I asked, turning around.
"Just follow me," Salvullaz said, walking to my left.
I started after him and he led me to the house. He stood in front of the house and started growing into a giant, maybe twenty feet taller than he already was. I stood there, frozen from the sight.
"How?" I asked.
"This is how you're going to die," Salvullaz said, lifting up his foot and crushing me into the ground.

I woke in a cold sweat and looked around to see I was back inside the room with Jack and Jhett. I stood up and looked out the window to see the sun rising. I walked out of the room and outside, my machete in hand.
"Salvullaz! Let's go! Just you and me!" I yelled.
All of a sudden, Salvullaz appeared from behind me and pushed me onto the ground. I got up and stood, ready to kill Salvullaz.
"Looks like you've gotten brave, Zack," Salvullaz said, looking me dead in the eyes.
"I'm tired of you being inside my head!" I yelled, running at Salvullaz and thurtsing my machete into his torso, but Salvullaz caught my head before it could go too deep.
"This is too easy," Salvullaz said, throwing me into the house.
I hit the bricks, but got back up. I stood up, my machete still in my hand, and started running towards Salvullaz, but he grabbed me and smashed me into the ground. I opened my eyes and saw Salvullaz lifting me up off the ground, and tossing me into the driveway.
"I will kill you!" I yelled, trying to get up off the ground, but there was no way I could.
"Yeah, sure," Salvullaz said, snapping his boney fingers and disappearing.
Mae, Conner, Kaycie, Jack, and Jhett all came outside with their weapons to see what was happening. Jhett and Jack ran over to me and helped me up off the ground.
"What happened?" Jhett asked me.
"Salvullaz. He went inside my head and I tried to beat his ass, but I failed," I replied.
"What do you mean?" Mae asked.
"He said he was going to kill me one way or another," I replied to Mae.
I was sat against the wall of the house to sit for a few minutes. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"We just need to take it easy today, it could kill Zack," Conner said, walking back inside the house.
I stood up and started walking to the door, going upstairs once I got inside. I grabbed a piece of paper and started writing down a plan
"Guys!" I yelled from a room.
Everyone ran in and stood next to the door.
"What?" Jhett asked.
"I've created a plan to screw the wood and just find a way to connect all of the fuses. If we can do that with at least a hundred or more fireworks, we could do just as much damage," I replied.
"Then why did we try to find wood?" Mae asked.
"We needed to start somewhere and that somewhere was trying to find wood, but that plan failed," I replied.
"So all we need to do is find a way to connect a bunch of fuses to do just as much damage to Salvullaz?" Conner asked.
"Yup," I replied.
I started out the door and down the stairs.
"How do we know this will work?" Kaycie asked.
"It has to. This is our last priority," I replied, grabbing a bunch of fireworks.
"Alright then," Jack said, helping me grab fireworks.
We started shoveling out fireworks to try and kill Salvullaz with one giant firework that could do more damage. After five minutes, I counted the amount of fireworks(132) and started connecting them with super glue.
"Don't you think that might not work?" Jhett asked.
"It'll work, just believe in it," I replied, continuing to glue them together.
"I hope this works," Mae said, walking outside to see how the progress on the fireworks were coming along.
I glued about fifteen before I gave up and handed the job to someone else. I hoped they could do it better than I could.
"Mae, do the fireworks for me. I need some rest," I said, walking inside the house and walking back upstairs.
I decided to go back to sleep and catch up on the restless sleep that I'd missed. I laid down on the ground and closed my eyes.
I woke up and stood up, looking around and hoping it wasn't another nightmare. I went downstairs and saw Conner and Kaycie talking on the couch while Jack, Jhett, and Mae were outside working on the fireworks. I walked outside to see how they were doing when I started hearing the sound of something walking through the forest. I froze, listening to the sound.
"Shhhh!" I whisper-yelled to the other.
They stopped and started hearing the same thing I Was hearing.
"It's back!" Mae whispered, jumping up, starting to run, and leaving the fireworks behind.
We stood, frozen and unable to understand what was happening. Then, the same monster that we had seen earlier downtown was back... with Salvullaz riding on top of it.
