Salvullaz was on top of the creature, ready to kill us with ease. Salvullaz had a double sided sword with him. My weapon was in my hand with the rest of the group standing beside me.
"Well, hello!" Salvullaz announced.
"Why are you here? I thought I already kicked your ass," I asked Salvullaz, standing still.
"I'm here to kill you since you're taking so long to kill me," Salvullaz replied.
"That's a stupid reason," Mae said.
Salvullaz jumped off the creature and started walking towards us. He stopped about ten feet from where we were and started running towards us. Conner launched a couple of arrows into Salvullaz, but they bounced off him harmlessly.
"Duck!" I yelled, pushing Mae out of the way of Salvullaz's weapon.
Mae and I fell onto the grass. I hopped up and ran towards Salvullaz and thrusted my machete into Salvullaz's back. Mae ran under the battle and pulled out the fireworks.
"Go!" I yelled, catching an arrow that had missed Salvullaz and stabbing it into the back of Salvullaz's head.
Salvullaz screamed in pain and started falling around, trying to get me off his back. Eventually, Salvullaz got the upper hand and grabbed my leg. He pulled me off and threw me onto the concrete road.
"Keep firing!" Jhett yelled, running over to me.
"Damn!" I said, trying to get myself up.
I could see Jhett running over to me out of the corner of my eye.
"You alright?" Jhett asked, helping me up to my feet.
"I'm fine. We just need to get Salvullaz down," I said, starting to run towards the others.
Jhett and I ran to the battle and hopped back in. Jhett threw his spear into Salvullaz's eye, thrusting it into his face. Salvullaz screamed in pain as he tried to pull it out. I ran inside and grabbed a firework and a lighter.
I ran out of the front door and aimed the firework right at Salvullaz's face. I lit the firework and tried to aim it as close to Salvullaz's face as possible.
"Duck!" I yelled, everyone looking at me and ducking as I threw the firework up.
It exploded as soon as I let it go and started flying at Salvullaz, hitting him in the face and exploding again, knocking him backwards. Salvullaz hit the ground hard.
"Take that," I said, standing up and walking in front of everyone to Salvullaz.
Everyone else stood up and walked behind me. Salvullaz rolled over and stood up, facing away from us. He turned around and looked at me, his face now chared from the explosion.
"I'll be back," Salvullaz said, getting back onto the creature and riding off into the forest.
"That was easy," Mae said, walking inside and pulling out the super-glued fireworks.
"How do we know if these fireworks will even work?" Conner asked.
"Since the fireworks work from the inside, the superglue shouldn't cause too much of an issue to the actual firework," I replied.
I walked inside and sat on the couch, laying back and relaxing from the battle we had just endured. Conner, Jack, and Jhett said next to me as Mae and Kaycie worked on the fireworks outside.
"Have you ever wondered what'll happen after this? What will happen after Salvullaz dies?" Jhett asked.
"I think everything will go back to normal, or the people will turn back into people and the monsters will die," Conner replied.
"I'm not sure. Anything could happen," Jack replied to Jhett.
"Whatever happens, at least we'll stay friends, right?" I asked.
"Yeah," Conner replied.
We sat in silence, trying to get some rest after the attack Salvullaz did on us. Mae and Kaycie walked inside and sat on the opposite end of the couch from me.
"What do y'all think will happen after we kill Salvullaz?" I asked.
"I hope everything goes back to normal," Mae replied.
"If Salvullaz is killed. I don't think anything will be the same without Dade or Gracie," Kaycie replied to me.
We sat in silence for a few minutes, but started talking again, forever wondering what life would be like with Dade or Gracie again. We just hoped everything would go back to normal and the zombies would be restored back to people.
"Let's go explore a little, I mean, we have the rest of our lives to do nothing," Mae said.
"That's how the entire crew gets killed in every horror movie," Jack pointed out.
"Yeah, but I mean, why the hell not?" Mae replied.
"Alright. We'll go out in a few minutes and see what happens," I told everyone.
A few minutes later, we were off to explore a little, find anything that could help us. We jumped onto the golf carts and sped down to a store or something to find food or water since we hadn't eaten or darnk anything a day or so.
"There's a dollar general right around the corner, we should be able to get something there," Jack said, pointing to the store.
We pulled up in front of the Dollar General and got out of the golf carts. I started walking up the front doors and started to pry them open, but they were stuck together.
"Might need a little help!" I yelled out to the others.
Mae and Jack were the first ones up there with me. Jack smashed the glass with his bat and we were in. We went to the food first and found a few canned things that hadn't expired yet(duh) and went for the bottled water.
Mae grabbed a cart and pushed it towards me. I grabbed all of the water palates and placed them inside of the cart. There were about ten sixteen packs of water that I had placed inside the cart.
"Zack! I found the mother load!" Jhett yelled.
I jumped over the cart and towards Jhett. He had found a bunch of canned food(the good kind) inside of a cart.
"Nice! Take it outside to Conner," I told him.
Conner decided to wait outside for us and to tell us if anything was coming our way. I ran back to my water cart and pushed it out the doors to Conner too. Mae and Kaycie found a bunch of granola bars that we could eat that expired a few weeks until then.
"Hey, Zack?" Conner asked, sticking her head inside the store.
"Yeah, what's up?" I replied.
"Isn't this enough? I don't know if the golf carts can hold that much," Conner pointed out.
"It'll be fine, trust me," I replied.
"Alright," Conner said, shaking her head.
I went back inside to see what else the others had taken. Jhett and Jack were grabbing all of the soda, but they were warm and probably flat.
"Just leave those," I told Jack, pointing to the sodas.
"Alright," Jack replied.

About five minutes later, we were bringing two more carts outside of the store and attached them to the golf carts via bungee cords. It wouldn't be that long of a drive since there wouldn't be any traffic.
"Zack, we have four carts. I'm not sure if this is going to work," Conner said.
"It's going to be fine, I promise," I replied.
Conner shook her head, but agreed. We started off back at the house and placed all of the stuff back at the house so we could explore a little bit more.
"How longer do you think it'll be?" Jack asked.
"It'll be a few minutes, not that much compared to how much it usually is," I replied.
"Alright," Jack replied.
A few minutes later, we arrived at the house and dropped everything, including the carts, and we set off downtown where everything changed.
