BANG! The fireworks went off all around the stage. The crowd roared at the power of noise made by the booming fireworks and the high volume of Kevin’s final note of is rock song. It was his opening number, yet he ran off stage. He was not scared of the array of bursting colour that was lingering in the park outside. He was however scared of Them. He knew that the fireworks would let Them know where he was. He had to get out of here. But this was his chance to finally get into the music business. His life-long dream would have to wait; after all, this was a matter of life and death!
As he ran through the double stage doors, he felt the vomit rise in his throat. He was petrified. But he had to keep running, where he was going, he did not know, he just had to run!
Kevin did not know who They were, what They looked like, or where They were from. All he knew was that They wanted life. His life. They could be anywhere. So Kevin had to move from country to country looking for a sanctuary and a chance for stardom. But what mattered most was his safety.
He heard footsteps coming towards him, they were fast. He tasted metal in his mouth; he knew straight away that this vile taste was fear. He was really on edge! As he ran into a dark alleyway, he caught the lingering scent of rubbish, beer and urine. His eyes adjusted to the darkness quickly, but his vision was blurred. He could feel the beads of sweat dripping off his head. Kevin’s knees gave way, and then he collapsed. Kevin was slowly pulled into and imaginary pool of darkness.
