The heels clicked furiously on the cold, tiled floor. She couldn't stop pacing, anxiety driving her insane to her very core. She could feel beads of sweat trying to drip from her foreheard each time she dabbed a tissue there. I watched intensely, waiting to see how long it'll take her to break down from pure stress, or possibly excitement. I counted in my head, knowing that what I was doing did seem a tad rude, but her pacing was starting to make me nervous.

"Oh Geralyn, what am I doing?" She cried as she sunk down to the floor. Her white gown perfectly falling around her, like her own protective circle. The veil was slowly starting to lean to the back, falling off her beautifully, dolled up hair. Strands of her blonde hair started to fall off, but she didn't care anymore as the climax of what was really happening, finally took her.

"It is only butterflies Sarah," I responded, kneeling down beside her as I fixed the veil in place, once again.

"You don't understand. I'm supposed to feel happy, why am I not happy?" She tried hard to hold in her tears, but the mascara still bled down to her mouth with her emotional tears.

"You are happy, but getting married is a huge step. I knew he will be good for you, as do you," I encouraged for possibly the hundredth time today. I felt like I was practicing lines for a play, that I was sure to get.

She looked up at me with her face, practically black from all the mascara, and wet from crying. Her green eyes stared at me, with both hope and fear.

"You really think so?"

"I know so."

She let me bring her back to the chair as I redid her make-up and fixed her hair. After one last check on her dress and veil, she was ready to start her new life, the one I possibly might never find for myself.

"Don't worry Geralyn, someone will be lucky to have you," she replied, reading right through my mind like she always did. I couldn't hide my smile as I fixed the bottom of her dress, and motioned for the band to start playing, and the bridemaids to get ready. She turned around with a new, bright smile on her face, and love in her eyes. I gave her a genuine smile back.

"Ready Sis?"

The vows being said, and the kiss to become one being finished, everyone was ushered over to the other room for the reception. I bit my lip softly as I looked down at my checklist, hoping nothing was misplaced.

"Geralyn!"
I looked up, searching for the voice who called my name. I looked over at my sister and her now husband, dancing together happily. I checked around the room once more and didn't see anyone out of the ordinary.

Odd.

Finally giving up, I went back to my list.

"Geralyn."

I turned around, with a soft shriek escaping my lips, right at the same time feeling a soft tap on my bare shoulder. I turned around to see a tall, handsome man watching me with hazel eyes. He wore the formal tux, and had messy brown hair, that made his whole look even sexier. My breath caught to my throat as I tried to find the words to speak. Knowing my brain, all that came out was-

"Do I know you?"

Idiot, Geralyn, Idiot!

He gave me a smirk, showing off his pearly whites. I could feel my legs starting to feel like jelly, an odd feeling I never had before. His smile was infectious, his whole look an addiction to my womanly desire.
