A few weeks passed since we'd been planning the wedding and it's finally time to become husband and... eh... Wife?
Noiz would call it so at least.
All the guests were seated and situated on both sides.
Just as I expected though two seats in the front row on Noiz's side had been reserved but never used.
Two empty chairs side by side with cards on them marked in golden ink 'Mom' 'Dad'.
I hope Noiz is okay with this I haven't seen him since this morning due to the old tradition of keeping the bride(?) and groom separate.
His parents may not have come but I'm sure his brother has come and agreed to be his best man.
Wait a minute...
Where's Koujaku?
I wanted him to be my best man.
Maybe he's back to his old ways of escorting women around Midorijima.
"Aoba!" I heard an excited voice call out behind me.
I turn to see who was calling to me and see Koujaku wearing a festive yet elegant kimono.
"Hey Koujaku I'm so happy you made it." I smiled at him.
"I wouldn't miss your wedding Aoba no matter if it's to a brat."
"Koujaku~."
"Just kidding but I'm honored to be your best man."
He looks down at me and smiles warmly.
He cups my cheek in his hand and thoughtfully sighs, letting out a lot of emotion with a single breath.
"There's one thing I wanted to do before you got married, and I'm not trying to mess with your head or anything. It's just right now you seem so far away and untouchable that I won't be able to do it." He says averting his eyes a little.
"What is it?"
"I'd like to kiss you before you become something completely untouchable by others, before you become someone else's bride." He slid his hand down from my cheek to my shoulder.
"I understand if you don't want to or anything but it would mean a lot to me if you were okay with it."
"Yea that's fine."
"Really?"
"Yea."
"You're not just going out of your way to make me happy right?"
"Yea."
He leaned his head down to mine and touched our lips together.
When his head retried he smiled happily.
"Thank you Aoba."
"No problem, but that's it from now on 'cause I'm going to be bound to someone for the rest of my life."
Koujaku looked a little hurt yet happy at my words.
"I know and I hope you both are happy."
At this moment a knock came to the door of the room we were in.
"Aoba is Koujaku in there? It's time for the best men to walk down the isle together." Natsuki called into the room.
"Yeah I'm in here, I'm comin'." He said while making his way outside.
Now that I think of it Koujaku and Noiz's brother Theo never met.
A little later and another knock came to the door causing me to jump.
"Aoba, it's time!" This time it was granny.
"You have to come out so I can walk you down the isle!" She shouted in.
"Yeah, okay." I say, trying to calm my nerves.
I open the door to my future.
"Aoba are you okay? you're all red." She says a bit worried.
I shake my head and reply. "I'm fine just a little excited."
She hands me my bouquet and slips her hand into mine.
I jump a little and she gives me a reassuring smile to calm my nerves.
"Don't worry Aoba it'll all be okay."
"Do I look okay granny?"
"You look beautiful."
"But I'm a guy." I laugh a bit.
"Just because you're a man doesn't mean you can't be beautiful, you are the bride aren't you."
"Y-yeah I suppose."
We begin to walk our way to the isle and I begin to feel nervous again.
Granny notices this and squeezes my hand.
I calm myself a bit as our footsteps stop at the beginning of the isle.
I look forward and see the man I'll be spending the rest of my life with smiling at me.
Standing behind him was his energetic little brother who seemed to be all smiles.
I take another deep breath and as the band strikes up granny and I make our way down the isle.
Granny and I stand at the end of the long walk way and the priest clears his throat.
"Who's giving away the bride?" He states.
"Tae Seragaki, grandmother."
"Very well take a seat." The priest calmly nods.
I stand next to Noiz and smile at him content lay through my veil.
"Reveal the bride." The priest says as if second nature.
Noiz lifts my veil above my head.
"Join hands."
Noiz takes my my hands and looks happily into my eyes.
"Present the rings."
Noiz promptly takes out two rings and hands one to me.
"Put the rings on each others left hand."
We follow the instructions of the priest.
"Noiz do you take Aoba to be your lawfully wedded... wife(?)" The priest seemed to struggle a bit with the correct words.
"I do." Noiz says with his cheeks turning the slightest shade of pink.
"And Aoba do you take Noiz to be your lawfully wedded husband." The priest stated not even making it sound like a question because he already knows my answer.
"I do." I say with my voice being broken a bit by the tears of joy that are running down my face.
"Then I pronounce the two of you man and wife(?)." Again he struggles with the correct term in which to call me.
"You may kiss the bride." He announces happily.
Noiz doesn't kiss me at first but licks the tears off my cheek and then goes in for a kiss.
And with this we're united both body and soul.
