Two Wrongs Make A Right

Being Positive

-It was about 2 weeks after their angered, mistaken one night stand, when she felt the symptoms, and about 5 weeks later when she took the test and it was all revealed at this very moment.

-The nervous, shaking blonde lifts the 3 plastic stick test close to her face and sees her fate. She was pregnant with her ex’s baby.

-Hot tears begin to stream down the expecting mother’s face, and her cries go from soft to hard.

-It wasn’t that she didn’t want to have a child, she always wanted to, but with a married man by her side, and an almost empty schedule, but this situation was extremely different from her dream.

-She angrily places the tests back on the counter, and exits out of the bathroom. Making her way into her bedroom, she plops down on the bed and releases all of her tears.

-After a good five minutes of crying, she hears footsteps coming from outside of the door, but she continues to lay face down, not giving the  anonymous walker any attention.

-She hears her friend’s small faint voice from the door, “Jen, you okay?”. she sounded extremely worried. The distressed blonde looks up from the bed and sees Zoe at the door.

-Jennifer looks at her friend though her blood red stained eyes and says, “I’m fucked.”. She throws her head back in the comforter and begins to let out her cries all over again.

-Zoe rushes over to her friend and says, “Jen, it’s okay, anything that happened you can tell me.”. The crying blonde looks at her friend and says while choking on tears, “I’m pregnant with Nick’s baby.”.

-Zoe’s eyes practically bulge at her friend’s confession and she says calmly, “You’re pregnant?”. Jennifer letting her head hang down in shame and nods. 

-Zoe pulls her friend in for a tight squeeze and Jennifer returns the hug, and cries out, “Zoe, what am I going to do?”. A confused Zoe tries to be supportive and says as they break apart, “I think you should tell Nick first.”. 

-The hormones in Jennifer’s body cause her to break down all over again at the thought of Nick. “You don’t understand!, he’s moved on he’s dating that bitch Riley, and he’ll never want me back!!!!”.

-Zoe shakes her head in disagreement of Jennifer’s thoughts and she says, “Jen, you don’t know that, he adores you and he’ll never forget what you guys had, he’s probably just dating her because he misses you too much, believe me.”.

-Jen starts to slow down her breathing and starts to calm down more and more by the minute and says, “I have to do it the next time I see him.”. 

-Zoe nods in agreement and says, “That’s a great idea, now come here.”. Zoe keeps her arms out, and Jennifer eventually gets into the comforting arms of her friend.

-It was about another passing 4 weeks when it was finally time for the X-Men Apocalypse wrap party and Jennifer was as nervous as she could be.

-Being nervous was an understatement, not only because of the fact that she was meeting up with everybody, it was because it was the first time she’ll ever see Nick and Riley together.

-For probably the 700th time that night, she runs her manicured fingers through her shiny blonde hair which falls right at her shoulders, and she takes a deep breath.

-Her friend looks at her with a worried glance and she says, “Jennifer you look fine, calm down.”. Jennifer shakes her head and says, “You don’t understand Laura, i’m about to tell my ex that I’m having his baby.”.

-Lauren holds her friend’s hand and says, “Well you better get ready because we’re here.”. Jennifer’s heart drops and she starts sweating and panting.

-“Lauren i can’t do this!, I can’t!”. Lauren places a hand on my shoulder and says, “Jen, it’s okay, it’s fine, trust me.”. After her mini panic attack, Jennifer nods, and wipes the tears from her eyes.

-‘Okay”. Jennifer says, “Lets go.”. Lauren smiles and says, “Good girl, lets go.”.  Jennifer swings open the door and the flashes start.

-After Lauren closes the door and catches up with Jennifer, whose signing autographs, the questions start to fill the air. “Hey Jennifer, you look amazing!” one yells. “Jen what do you think of Nick and Riley being here together?!”. the other yells

-Staying calm and collected, Jennifer rolls her eyes and moves on to the next fan and continues to sign and block out the questions. “Can you tell us how you feel about Riley’s diss to you?!”. Jennifer finishes the autographs grabs Lauren, and makes a way to the club entrance.

-“Are you okay Jennifer?”. Lauren says in a concerned tone. Jen nods and says, “Yeah, just damn hormones.”. Lauren giggles and says, “Lets just find Nick and get this over with.”. 

-Jennifer looks over at the filled bar and spots Nick with Riley. A burning pit began to build bigger and bigger inside her stomach filled with rage, disgust, and jealousy. She stutters out to her friend, “Found them.”.

-Lauren looks over at the bar and her face drops as she sees Riley kissing the side of Nick’s head over and over again, Lauren directs her attention back to her emotional best friend and says, “It’s okay, just lets go take a seat at the booth, and the second she leaves, take Nick to the back and explain it to him, it’ll be fine.”.

-The expectant mother nods her head in agreement with the plan and makes her way over to an empty booth. As soon as she sits down and orders, she feels his eyes follow her every move.

-Eventually Riley sees Jennifer and excuses herself to the bathroom, after noticing Riley’s absence, Jennifer springs to her feet and says to Lauren while scooting out of the bar, “I’ll be right back.”. Lauren nods and returns her attention back to a new cast member.

-Jennifer stands up, straightens out her skirt for one last time, and makes her way over to Nicholas. Once she gets behind his back, she taps him softly and he turns around their eyes meeting each other for the first time in weeks.

-His eyes widen and she says while smiling, “Hey stranger.”. he laughs and pulls her into a hug and says, “Hey Jen, how are you doing?”. She smiles brightly and says, “I’m fine, but we need to talk like right now.”. Nick’s smile fades and he says, “Sure.”. Jennifer grabs his hand and pulls him to the back where the lounge room is.

-She barges open in the lounge room, which is completely empty and once she pulls Nick in, she closes the door and locks it, then faces Nick again. She pulls him over to the orange couch and she says, “I have to tell you something”.

-Nick’s eyes stare into Jennifer’s watery eyes and his voice full of concern speaks out, “Whoa, what’s wrong?”. Her eyes sting from the rain of tears falling out of her eyes, and she stutters out, “I’m pregnant with your baby.”.

-His eyes widen in disbelief and Nick says, “What are we gonna do?”. Jennifer covers her eyes with her hands and breathes out, “I don’t know.”
