"Have you heard," Said my good friend Tanya one fine day at TimHortons."About the new coffee the Timhortons across the street is advertising?"
I toss my radiant raven hair off my shoulder, and proceed to sip on my mocha latte as I send a quick text to my mom.
"Oh? That's nice..."
"Yeah, they're calling it Cold Brew."
"Oh okay."
Tanya sighs looking frustrated. "You sound the least interested about this Rose."
"Oh?"
"Ugh, well, i'm telling you girl, the cold brew is gonna taste so good! How they make though- Lemme tell you."
"Yeah okay." I said rolling my eyes and smiling to myself.
Tanya always had something good to say about everything at Timhortons. I think it's just her nature. Or maybe everything here is really good!
"So, first they put in the ice,and then they pour in the delicious brewed coffee. It's so satisfying to watch, And! It's sooo easy to make at home! All you gotta do is get the coffee beans, a grinder, and some ice. It just takes a long time for it to steep though..."
"Sounds like an iced coffee to me..." I say as I lean my hand on my chin.
"Oh but it's better!"
"How exactly? Have you even tried the drink yet?"
"Well...No...But apparently the recipe for this coffee was found from Japan in the 1600's."
My eyes grew big. "So this recipe that nobody knew about has been around since the 1600's!?"
Tanya grinned and nodded vigorously.
"That's pretty cool. When's this coffee coming out?"
"I think April 26."
"It's coming out soon then."
"Mhm. I hope to be the first costumer to buy it!"
I sit up and laugh. "Well good luck on that one!"
"You don't believe me?" She says sitting up too. "I'll sleep there like a hobo if I have too!"
We laugh and gather our things.
"I have to go pick Jordon up from his friend's house so i'll see you later okay?"
"Your little brother?"
"Yeah."
"Oh yeah sure! You know where i'll be."
"The TimHortons across the street?"
Tanya giggles. "Yep! Gotta see if Henry is on his night shift!"
We step outside the coffee shop arm-in-arm, and begin to walk up to my Honda that was parked in the last row in the parking lot.
"You know he likes that hairstylist, right?"
"I know, but it doesn't hurt to keep trying to get his attention." Tanya sighs.
I raise my brows."He won't be focusing on you when he's got coffees to sell."
When we got to the vehicle, we said our goodbyes, and hugged each other. I watch as Tayna waves and crosses the street to the TimHortons.
Having two TimHortons just across from each- other is pretty weird. But who am I to judge? Both shops are constantly busy, and making good money. Plus, both Tanya and I love going there. There products are always so good and taste fresh. I can't wait to taste the Cold brew.
