Hi my name is Isabella Baker, I am 17 years old, I am originally from Florida but I moved to Omaha and I am a senior at Westside high.
My best friends Jack Johnson, Jack Gilinsky, Sammy Wilkinson, Nate Maloley, Leigh Lindquist, Mallory Thompson and Emily Glazer are very popular and are always under the spotlight but I'm not. I have never been the person that has liked being popular, to me popularity means that you are better then everyone else. The only person I want to be better than is the person I was yesterday.
I live with my dad and have no siblings or mother. Let me explain. When I was younger , around 7 or 8, my mother or as I like to call her 'The She Devil' started to abuse me. Not only did she hurt me physically, she hurt me mentally. Every day she would come up to my room, pull my hair, call me an unwanted bitch, tell me to kill my self. She would hit and kick me until I couldn't move, but sometimes she would beat me until I was almost unconcious.
My father tried for years and years to get full custody of me but it never worked. He would go to the police station and try to get my mother arrested but they said they needed more evidense. So when I was 12, the police gave me a camera that I could hide in my room. It was like a security camera, only it was tiny so no one could see it. I waited for hours until she finally came up to my room. She hurt me the most that day. When the police finally barged into the house I was unconcious. The last thing I remembered from that day was my dad saying "You are safe now La".
I woke up 3 days later in the hospital. My dad signed some papers and I was released from the hospital. Dad drove me back to the She-Devil's house and helped me pack everything I had left. We went back to his house and looked at houses until we found the most perfect house I had ever seen. My dad has always had jobs that payed a lot of money so he bought it instantly and we finished packing. Dad thought it was best that we left everything here and start fresh.
As soon as we moved to Omaha we ordered everything that a house needs, sofas, tvs, cutlery, cups, plates and everything else.
I got settled in and started middle school in Omaha and met all my friends I have now.
