i thought my first rant in here would be something about social justice but i guess we're going to kind of ease in and talk about art first.
i get so wildly livid when i see people using someone elses art for their cover and they dont credit the artist for drawing it like ??? fuck you ?? it takes less than 5 minutes to find a source and send the artist an ask asking if its okay to use their art like tbh if you need help ill find the source for you just dont steal artwork ok
i also see people using a version of someones art that they traced which is the grossest thing ever honestly why do you think thats okay??? tracing art or redrawing it line for line or whatever and claiming it as your own/acting like its okay is so bad. like using it as a reference is totally fine i do it all the time but when youre literally redrawing it/tracing it youre once again ~*~*stealing someones artwork*~*~ but in an even more ugly way than the first way mentioned
also stealing artwork in both of those ways and reposting without a source is so bad for artists especially if theyre freelance artists/want to be freelance artists or they do commissions it fucks them over 75932850 different ways.
so before you do either of those {which i really hope you wont holy fuck!!} consider commissioning an artist you like on tumblr/twitter/wattpad {or requesting bc some artists do that like me bc im waiting to get more people for commissions} :-))) #dontbeapieceofshitwhohurtsartists2k15
