Y/N WENT UP the stairs that led to the library in search for some spells that could prepare the group for the wizard duel. She made sure to hide from Madam Prince, who didn't seem far from the typical rude librarian stereotype. She heard many stories from Fred and George telling their experiences with the lady, but she didn't plan on setting a firecracker free in the library like they did.

Y/n spent many minutes looking at the rows of bookshelves holding various heavy books, until she found a section that dedicated to defensive charms for first years. She raised her hand to take the thick book off, but it wouldn't budge, until finally it did; she almost knocked herself down.

"Stupid book," she whispered, pulling the book down, then realizing there was another face behind the shelf.

His black eyes met her (e/c) colored eyes. Down to his black hair, rosy cheeks and lips - there was no doubt that it was Seth Riddle looking back at her.

"Looking for tips on spells?" he asked, leaning down to her level.

"Oh - um - no, just studying," she said, though it didn't sound very convincing.

"Sure," he smiled, walking around the shelf to meet Y/n face to face, "but I recommend looking for joke spells if you want to humiliate Draco."

"Sorry, I didn't know you knew," said Y/n, who couldn't control her smile. "I just kinda forgot you were related to Malfoy."

"No trust me, I hear about you nonstop with Draco," he laughed, "I think it's pretty cool you punched him - if we weren't related I would do so much more to get him to stop talking."

"Right, he's very good at it."

"Oh, very talented. Talking is his specialty for sure," he added sarcastically; Y/n chuckled lightly. "By the way . . I don't think I've properly introduced myself. It's Seth Riddle."

"Y/n Sinclair," she said, holding the book close to her chest.

"Won't forget," he smiled again, "I'll let you get back to studying now, make sure you tell me all the details about the duel."

"I will. I'll make that my top priority, no worries."

Y/n quickly understood that Seth Riddle had a very charming trait about him. "Later, Y/n Sinclair."
