Chapter 7: Heart Breaker

"WOOOHOO!!!" Mike yelled out as he fell. "Oof!"

Mike hit the cold hard ground. It wasn't dirt like it was at the entrance of the cave, it was stone.

"Perfect landing..."

Mike heard the sound of two things landing next to him, and he turns around. A flare is shot next to him on the ground, and he flinches. With the flare's light, the two shadows are revealed to be Zach and Bell.

"Hi-" Mike was cut off.

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT, YOU IDIOT?! YOU COULD HAVE DIED!" Bell yelled out.

"Calm down," Zach said, "We need to stay calm."

"Fine."

"Listen, I just got excited!" Mike said.

"Whatever, it doesn't matter anymore." Zach said.

"Hey, look at that!" 

The group's eyes shift to what appears to be a big, crystalized heart.

"Ooh! Gimme gimme gimme gimme!!!" Mike yelled out.

"No, it's mine!!" Bell said.

The two both began running toward the Life Crystal at the same time, and tripped over each others foot. They got in a scuffle and kept pushing and shoving each other. Zach casually walked over to the crystal and picked it up.

"Hey! That was mine! What, no, it's mine! Not yours!" Mike and Bell both said at the same time.

"Hm... Peculiar..." Zach said.

Zach raised the crystal up in the air to get a better look at it. Suddenly, it began glowing a bright white, with a red outline.

"Huh?!" The three friends all said.

The glow shaped itself into a sphere shape, and suddenly, it went into Zach's body. He felt stronger.

"What in the world..." Zach said. "Well, we should leave now."

"But how? There is no way we can climb up to the surface!" Bell said.

"Well, we may not be able to climb, but there is another way..." Zach said with a smirk.

Zach pulled out the magic mirror and told the others to look into it, and after they did, he did as well. 

"What?!?" Bell said in amazement.

"It's a magic mirror, it takes you home instantly if you look into it." Zach told her.

"Hey, the sun is setting!" Mike said.

"Let's get inside." Zach said.

"Howdy. You've been gone a while." The Guide said.

"Yeah. Something neat happened!" Mike said.

"Oh?" The Guide wondered.

"Zach, go on, explain!" Mike told Zach.

"Okay, so basically, we found this weird crystal heart, and when I raised it up into the air, it glowed and turned into a sphere and then went into my body. And now I feel stronger... I guess??" Zach explained.

"Oh, you found a Life Crystal." The Guide said.

"Seems so."

"Hey, if you absorbed one, then I think that you should build some extra houses. We might be able to attract some other people to our village if we meet their standards." The Guide said.

"Great! We won't be stuck with this guy!" Bell jokingly said.

"Ha-ha."
