(Y/N) groaned in annoyance as her phone went off non-stop.
"Let me sleeeeeepp..." She muttered.
Finally she decided to just check who was texting her so much.
And, as she expected, Tanjiro's name popped up multiple times.
Her annoyance disappeared and immediately read the messages.

Tanjiro:
Good morning angel! (I hope you like the new nickname I came up with) I hope you slept well. I was wondering If you wanted to go on our first date today! (^-^)

She blushed when she saw the word "angel" and quickly texted, making many typing errors.

(Y/N):
Awweee I love the nickname! And OBVIOUSLY I wanna go on our first date? Where to? :D

Tanjiro:
I was thinking we could try out that new cafe in the town next to us! It's only a short train ride away.

(Y/N):
Okie dokie just gimme an hour or so to get ready!

Tanjiro:
Sure angel! ;)

(Y/N) giggled at the unexpected confidence. She found it rather cute.

She got up, motivated for the day, and picked out a cute outfit. (You can imagine your own outfit ^-^)

She put some makeup on (again, you can imagine your own style! Or no makeup at all if that's what you prefer!)

As she looked at herself confidently, she did a few poses as a moral booster and put on her favourite shoes.

TIME SKIP

"Hey, (Y/N)!" Tanjiro said as soon as she arrived at the bus stop.

"How is it that you're always here before me?" She joked.

"Not sure." Tanjiro said before they both gave each other a kiss on the cheek.

They held hands and boarded the train with the excitement of spending quality time together. (And trying out a new cafe :D)

"Y-you look really pretty, by the way." Tanjiro gave (Y/N) his usual, shining smile that made her heart run a mile.

"Aw, that's so sweet! You look very pretty today as well!" She said and gave him a side hug.

They continued to have a lovely, but quiet, conversation for the rest of the train ride, joking around and having a good time while the older people smiled at their exuberance.
Finally they made it to their stop, both hyped to try out the new menu.

"I'm expecting it to be pretty busy, so hopefully we can squeeze in line." (Y/N) said as she read about the 4.5 star cafe from an app on her phone.

"Yeah. If we can't find a spot, there's lots of other things to do around here!" Tanjiro said in awe as his gaze shifted everywhere.

"That's true, I mean they have a lot of restaurants here." (Y/N) agreed.

Eventually they managed to find the cafe they had both been looking forward to, and to their surprise it wasn't all that busy.

"Wow. It's not busy at all." Tanjiro commented.

"That's weird. Well, that just means it's a shorter line for us!" (Y/N) smiled and her mouth started to water as she looked at the menu they had up on the wall.

"What are you getting, Angel? I'll pay." Tanjiro said and took out his wallet.

"What? I'll pay!" (Y/N) protested.

"No, I'm gonna pay!!" Tanjiro said

"I am!"

"No, me!!"
