"Can't do drugs 'cause I'm too scared. Tch. I'll show him," Killua mumbles to himself as he walks around a large, two-story house full of teenagers and young adults that he's never met before. He tracked Kurapika's location on the Life360 they share with each other to get the address of the party. He didn't exactly follow him. He just wanted to show up to the party and mingle with new people and make some friends.
That was a lie.
He came to prove Gon wrong.
He knows Gon is here because if he wasn't, Kurapika wouldn't have shown up. But he doesn't know where they are, how long they'll be here, if Kurapika will leave with him and go back to his place, etcetera.
Tonight, Killua came to this party with the mindset of taking anything he can get his hands on. No matter what it is or how much it costs. He will prove to Gon that he's not a little bitch who's scared of drugs. Even though he is.
Taking a deep, nervous breath, Killua forces his legs to lead him into the kitchen where drunk teens kiss and feel up other drunk teens. He grimaces and pushes past them to the counter by the sink where there's bottles and bottles of different varieties of alcoholic beverages. Killua's shaky blue eyes scan each bottle and he finds a beautiful, slim, glass bottle of Svedka Mango Pineapple vodka. He studies the bottle hard, thoughts of how much to drink, how it'll taste, and so on swim through his nerve-wracked mind.
"Oh, screw it," He mumbles and grabs the bottle. He unscrews the cap and brings the opening to his shiny, pink lips. With the same 'fuck it' mentality, Killua throws his head back and chugs, his face scrunching at the taste but he doesn't let himself stop.
When he lowers the bottle, there's not a single drop left. He doesn't regret a thing. Hopefully, somebody didn't have their eye on that drink. Killua doesn't feel like getting his ass beat right now. Especially with his mind beginning to swim. He gently sets the empty glass on the lavender marble countertop and scans the rest of the bottles. He sees a six-pack of Not Your Father's Root Beer sitting against the wall behind a few bottles of rum. Killua likes root beer so he leans forward to grab one of the brown bottles, but he stumbles and knocks over a few glass bottles of the rum.
"Crap," He whispers to himself and starts to pick them, wondering how the hell they didn't shatter. Thankfully, the rest of the company in the kitchen are too occupied with other people.
As Killua pops the bottle open with a metal, black beer bottle opener, somebody stumbles up to him from behind and taps on his shoulder repeatedly. Startled, because he doesn't know anybody at this house, he quickly turns around to greet the person. The teen is clearly drunk out of their mind and in their hand are three little pieces of thin paper with Cheshire Cat on each of them. What the heck is that, runs through Killua's mind, but if it's a drug, he'll take it.
"Want these?" The girl with curly, thick blonde hair offers.
"What is it?" Killua asks, eyes downcast upon the pieces of paper. What could it be, he thinks.
"'Cid. Want them?" She repeats.
"Uh yeah, sure," Killua agrees and gently picks up each piece of paper and stares at it. "What do you do with it?"
The girl tilts her head and furrows her blonde, slitted eyebrows. "You set it on your tongue and let it dissolve," She answers. Killua nods and hesitantly opens his mouth. Slowly, he coaxes his tongue to come out and he places the papers down. He's not sure what to expect but doesn't want to ask. Part of him wants to be surprised. The girl smiles sweetly at him. "I take it you've never done acid before," She says, almost like she's taunting Killua. Flirting?
Killua awkwardly giggles. "Yeah, never."
"Well, I hope you're happy right now. Avoid mirrors. Try not to kill yourself," She advises and pats his shoulder as she skips off.
