셋: Sunset

“Thank you for bringing me here.” He smiled before kissing my cheek. We walk hand-in-hand while dipping our feet in the sand. We were both carrying our shoes while smiling at each other.

I took a leave at work, I don't want to go away from him. I can't leave him in this situation. And it's already a month before my birthday.

“There's a shell.” He picked it up, showing it to me with a wide smile. I poked his cheeks right after that. He looked just so cute, and I won't get tired watching him all day. His presence never brought boredom in me.

“It's cool.” I said with a smile, with our hands still intertwined. “It's beautiful just like your existence in my life.”

“You're cheesy.”

“I know, but whatever.” I chuckled before laying a gaze on the sunken sun. He also stopped from walking.

The night has lifted, taking over the vast together with the stars and moon. I plastered a smile before glancing at Sean who's mesmerized by the view. I knew he likes sunset.

“Steven...”

“Hmm?”

Should I just stand as Steven? It's not a bad idea, right?

Even though it's painful to deal with it, I know at the end, there will be a happy ending for the both of us.

An ending that I wished to happen even as a child. I'm not into fairytales and stuffs, but having an ending like those princes and princesses, is happiness.

Someday, we'll live together and he will, again, call me by my name. Hearts won't stop from beating and I believe this is a just a storm of trial, at the very end, we will reach the rainbow. The ending that we want.

“If I drown, would you take my hands and save me?”

“Is that even a question?” I chuckled lightly before swinging my arms on his shoulders. Although, I was in pain nowadays, I will never forget the fact that he's my sunshine.

He's my happiness.

“But what if it's too late to do so, what will you do?” He tried insisting another question. I tilted my head on his side, before I stifle a smile.

“Then, I will die with you.” I said that with no other thoughts. I was determined to do that. It's my principle to stood with my words. Living would be dull without light, darkness will take over your solitude.

If Jack said he'll jump if Rose jumps, then I will do the same with Sean. That's a promise.

“You can't die with me. It's better to die alone.” He said, casually, like it didn't hit a vital part of me. Why is he saying things like this?

“We both promise to be together.” I mumbled letting his head on my shoulder. Damn, his words were killing me.

If he'll vanish, I'll be alone.

If he'll vanish, everything will not be worth it, so what's the use of living when the one you're fighting for is already gone.

“Together doesn't mean we're both physically present in the same place—”

“Stop. Please stop. Call me selfish and stupid, but staying here with you, means together for me.”
