stepped off the carriage with a small frown, not really believing what I was seeing. Windows broken, graffiti plastered all over the walls. The door was torn down too, so I was guessing it was just as bad on the inside.

“Takashi, are you sure this is my house?” I asked doubtfully.

Takashi simply nodded in response.

I let out a slow breath, pursing my lips. I wasn’t sure if I should go to the Hokage or not for a crime like this. But I also didn’t want to be living in a broken down home.

“Alright, go inside and start cleaning. Take my luggage to my bedroom too.” I ordered, then awkwardly cleared my throat. “If you need any of those stupid human necessities, you have my permission to do so.” With that, I disappeared.

I landed on the railing that surrounded the Hokage’s window, staring down at him with an emotionless expression. Just by looking at him, I knew he was dying within this year. It was sad, knowing all of these things about people that they don’t even know about themselves. Even I sometimes didn’t want to know the death dates of people, and how they die. I sometimes have to resist the urge to save them.

But I do need souls to eat at some point. I am a reaper, after all.

I tapped on the window, and the Hokage turned his head, looking at me with wide eyes. There were people already in there, a certain group of four to be specific. The Hokage stood, his hands trembling as he backed up.

Was this man really that afraid of death? It makes me pity him so.

I slid the window up and hopped over the ledge. Jiraiya grinned slyly with Gai by his side having hearts in his eyes.

“Hokage.” I greeted, not bowing down for him like any other person would. The Hokage took off his hat and dipped his head down for me. The men standing by looked at me in either confusion or awe. Perhaps even both.

“Teale Akuni. I wouldn’t have recognized you if it wasn’t for your eyes. You look striking as always. But I must ask, what’s your business in my office?” his voice tremored and I smirked. I crossed my arms and put a foot on his desk to stretch my leg out a bit.

“As you know, I haven’t been here in a while. But when I arrive, my home is greatly vandalized. That makes me angry.” my expression hardened as it turned into a glare. “I would have expected an old man like you to keep it at least decent. I got to say, these days I’ve been hungry.” He jumped, a bead of sweat rolling down the side of his head.

“I’m so sorry!” he said in a state of panic.

I suddenly laughed, taking my foot off his desk and patting his shoulder softly.

“I was just fooling you. You still got a while. But I do want my house completely refurbished by this evening, or I really will get angry.” I gave him a closed-eye smile. “One thing I learned in all of these years, is it’s best to just be friendly.”

He gave me a grin in return and then glanced at the boys.

“These guys here will help you.” then he looked sternly at them. “No questions asked, it’s your new mission. And I’m marking it as a sudden A ranked mission.”

I barked out a laugh.

“Was that really necessary? Alright, go to the ‘haunted house’.” I did quotes in the air then rolled my eyes. “Haunted house my butt.”

I left, and ended up in the corridor of my house. I looked around frowning. It was a disaster, but at least it seemed like the furniture was all still intact. I wandered around to see just how badly damaged the house was and shrugged. It should get redone soon enough. I should get the boys to repaint my whole house and polish the wood floors. I know I will need a new door.

“Takashi, go buy a new door. Make it fancy.” I said, plucking more than enough money out of my pocket and handing it to him. “Take the carriage if you want to.” I turned from him and went to the kitchen, stepping over an end table that was in the middle of the doorway on its side.

I opened a few cabinets before huffing.

“Takashi! Get food that you’d eat also!” I called out.

It took only two more seconds of me looking out the kitchen window for me to sense a particular four step in my house.

“Uh, Miss. Akuni?” Asuma yelled out unsure. I blinked and walked out so they could see me.

“Please, call me Teale.” I said in monotone. They were still dressed in their ninja gear, which make me scowl. “You know this really wasn’t a mission, therefore you don’t need any of that gear, right?”

“We are just doing as we’re told, Miss Teale.” Kakashi chimed and I sighed.

" Yeah, yeah whatever. I sent my butler to get a new door.  Please just fix anything that's broken or move something back to it's rightful place. I'll go buy some paint for you guys. " I walked to the old and damaged front door to inspect it a little more. There was a large crack going through the middle and the window was shattered into pieces that ranged from shards to the size of my hand.  I shook my head annoyed and turned back to the guys.

" What makes you more important than the Hokage?" Kakashi asked suddenly. I gave him a small smile and brushed my hair through my fingertips.

" Because, Kakashi Hatake, I am the humans greatest fear. I am death!" I chirped another laugh before disappearing from their view.

I located the paint shop quite easy, and bought the colors I wanted- black and white for the exterior and then blood red with white for the interior. As I was making my way back I caught people, mainly men, whispering to their acquaintances about me. One elderly man recognized me and surprised me by shouting out my name

I flashed my gaze to him in wonder, then frowned. This man was dying quite rapidly at the moment. I'd say he had about five minutes, then a brain aneurism  will end his life.

I stepped up to him and bent down to his level.

" I'm afraid that it's your time." I softened my gaze when he nodded.

" I'm ready I suppose." Came his uneasy reply.

I led him to a random alley and set my paint cans down.

" Tell me, what do you wish most for right now?" He asked me. I raised an eyebrow at him.

" Since you don't have much time left I'll answer honestly. I want to eat your soul quite frankly." I stated bluntly. He didn't even move a muscle as he continued to stare into my blue orbs.

I truthfully despised it when people looked so confident towards me, when they try to be the top dog.

" Say goodbye to the sun, Ichiro." I smiled sadistically as I walked forward. My Reapers scythe appearing in my hands. I held the weapon tilted to the sky as my hands moved to form a triangle. The rod of the scythe glowed a metallic copper as the aneurism took action. And as the rod got bright, the mans soul seeped out of his heart.
