Recently I had started baking Sourdough bread. To anyone who has done the same, you know about the sourdough starter. It's a necessity when baking sourdough breads. And it has multiple purposes. You can put it in scones, English muffins and as you see here, pizza crust!
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups Bread Flour
1/2 cup Sourdough Starter
3 TBSP Olive Oil
1/3 cup Warm Water
1 TBSP Sugar
1 TSP Yeast
1/4 TSP Salt
Directions:
1. In a large bowl add salt and flour and whisk together. Then add your starter.
2. In a measuring cup measure 1/3 cup warm water, and add your yeast and sugar to that, stirring together and letting it bloom for a few seconds.
3. Add your bloomed yeast and olive oil to the flour starter mixture and fold together until you have a shaggy dough. Continue kneading until it is smooth and bounces back when you fold it.
4. Cover and let rise for at least 1 hour. Then add toppings and sauce and bake at 400 for 20 minutes.
5. Enjoy!
This crust is unbelievably tasty. Crisp at the edges but soft and fluffy toward the center. It has an amazing flavor and the whole thing is vegan so long as you use the right toppings. If you have celiac please avoid and as usual please ask any questions down below!
