Lando's POV

You finally got out of bed after a long and well deserved lie In., however you were disappointed to see that Jordan wasn't laying beside you anymore. As you were getting into the shower you hear your phone ring from the bedroom. You run to pick it up, it was a Charlotte your PR manager.

"Hey Charlotte, you alright?"

"Hey Lando, I'm  so sorry to do this to you but we       need to you to come in early for some extra testing before the practise races today"

"Urm I have people at mine at the moment,
what time do you need me to come in?"

"Well now really"
she chuckles slightly on the phone

"Ugh ok, I will be there soon"
You hang up the phone and hurry into the shower.

Whilst you were in the shower, the thoughts of last night pop back into your head. You thought about the feeling of Jordan's lips against yours whilst her small hands were tangled in your hair. How her chest was pressed against yours and the feeling of wanting her closer to you even though there was no space left between your bodies. You wanted her so badly and you can't imagine what would have happened if Alex didn't walk in. Trying not to get yourself too worked up, you decide to get out of the hot shower and get ready.

As you finished getting changed you hear a knock on your door. "Yeah come in" you shout not turning around to see who it is. You were packing your bag and was also in a rush. "Hey Lando, have you got a moment?" You heard the most angelic voice behind you. You turn around to look at her and a smile forms on your lips. She looks so adorable in the mornings with her messy hair and wearing your clothes. You wish you could pick her up and cuddle her in bed all day.

"I'm so sorry Jordan but I have to get to the track early, Charlotte called me in. I promise we will talk later!" She looks slightly disappointed but understands your commitments making you adore her even more. You give her a quick hug and hand her your house key asking her to lock up before she leaves. You say quick goodbyes to everyone who's left in the house and jump into your papaya coloured McLaren before driving to Silverstone.

For the duration of FP1, Jordan has been lingering on your mind. She looked concerned earlier when she said she wanted to talk and you have a feeling that it's not something positive.

As you jump out of the car after FP1, you head to your drivers room to cool down and have a snack. As you were walking your phone vibrates in your pocket. You take out your phone and see a text from Jordan.

Jords 😘
Hey! Well done in FP1, the car looked
great! I have your house key with me, is there
anyone I can leave it with?x

Your heart flutters when you realise that she is sat watching you somewhere around the track. For some reason, the thought of her watching made you nervous, and it made you want to impress her. After thinking for a little while, you decided to ask her to come and meet you to drop the key off. Even though it was only a short meeting you got so excited to see her again.

"Hey you" your run up and hug her once you see her outside of McLaren hospitality. "You look amazing" you whisper in her ear which causes her to blush. It's so adorable how easily she blushes at the smallest compliments.

After your short encounter, you leave to go back for FP2 but the smile never leaves your face as you know that in a couple of hours you will see her again.

FP2 went great and you secured P6 which is a great result for you! You are so happy and all you want to do is hug the girl that has been on your mind all day.

You stand outside of the McLaren hospitality in the same spot as before and anxiously wait for her to arrive. With your leg bouncing up and down and your fingers causally scrolling through your phone to pass the time, you look up and see Jordan walking past you. She looks deep in thought so you reach out to grab her arm. "Jordan, you alright?" She looks back up at you confused but then giggles a little bit embarrassed for walking straight past you. Her laugh is utterly adorable and contagious so you join in with her before taking her hand in yours, interlocking your fingers and walking towards the exit.
"So where should we go?" You swing your hands between your body with the biggest smile on your face. "Oh urm actually, is there somewhere quiet we can go to talk?" She looks up at you with a dreaded expression on her face. You've had a feeling all day that there's been something on her mind and you were about to find out what that is.

You take her to your drivers room and you sit down on the sofa. She doesn't sit next to you and instead stands in front of you slightly pacing back and forwards. "Is everything ok?" You can tell that everything's not ok but you want her to talk to you. She suddenly stops in front of you but doesn't look you in the eyes, instead she is looking down at her feet.

"I wanted to talk to you about last night...I-I kissed Charles"

There it was... you knew something was up. Fuck sake, why does this always happen to me. You carry on looking at her whilst she carries on explaining.

"We were both drunk and it was something that was in the moment. I don't know how I feel towards him but I am attracted to him the same as I am you." You can't even look at her now... you are so pissed off and hurt but you can't show it because she hasn't done anything wrong. She hasn't cheated because you aren't together and you can't be hurt because you have barely known her a day. But it does hurt, the thought of her kissing someone else makes you feel sick and to make it even worse, she's kissed one of your best friends.

You feel the seat dip down next to you and your hand is taken out of your lap and put into hers. "I like you Lando but I don't think it's fair on you to not be honest about my feelings. I need some time to figure those feelings out and I was wondering if you would give me that time?"

She feels guilty for her actions even though she doesn't need too. This girl had such a big heart but you don't think that you can do this. You have had your heart broken before and it took you so long to get over it. The only way you can see this ending is in tears and you also don't want to potentially loose a friend. Before you had chance to think about what your saying you pulled your hand away from her. "I'm sorry Jordan, but I don't see you as more than a friend".

The look on her face was heartbreaking. "Oh okay, thank you for being honest with me" and with that she left.

You wanted to go after her. It wasn't true what you said but you couldn't get yourself into a situation like that. You needed to focus on racing not fight over a girl with your best friend. This is what was best for her as well, she deserves to be happy and not have a load of drama in her life.

Somehow, even though you already have feelings for Jordan, you have convinced yourself that this is for the best.
