Chapter 4

Carnival Fun

No Ones POV

"Let's go" Kiyoko said to Tanaka before rushing in.

Kiyoko's POV

As I started to rush in with Tanaka out of excitement I started to look around us at all of the games and food. My face filled up with joy just looking around.

"Hey slow down a bit, love! You're going to bump into somebody if your not careful;" laughed Tanaka while still holding hands.

"You're right. I don't want to hurt any of these cute children playing around and having to apologize to their parents a million times over and over again;" I grinned.

While we were walking around I had noticed that one shooting game where if you at least knock one of the bottles down you get a prize. "Hey Ryu? Can we go play the shooting game over there?"

Tanaka looked at me with a smile on his face. "Of course we can go!"

I grinned back at him and we carefully made our way to the stand.

Tanaka's POV

As we were making our way to the stall while holding hands I started to look around, thinking of what we should do next after the game.

"I don't think both of us ate before we left so maybe we should check out the food here"

I thought.

We had finally arrived to the stall and I had given the man some money. (I don't know about yen but I'd say $3 at least. P.S I'm not American so I don't really know.) He gave us these 4 bouncy balls each to hit the bottles with. I looked at Kiyoko seeing if she was ready or not, she had noticed I was glaring at her so she stared at me back with a look saying "I'm ready" so I nodded to let her know I was also ready.

I threw one of the bouncy balls, missing the bottle I was aiming for and I was disappointed but not too much since I still had 3 more. I had happened to look over to Kiyoko with not only 4  bouncy balls missing but a stuff toy in her hand. She won that pretty quickly.

"Man I was hoping to win her a stuff animal :(" I thought, really upset over the fact I wasn't the one who won her that. I started to frown a little without noticing.

Kiyoko's POV 

I had thrown all 4 bouncy balls at once and managed to hit a bottle, the guy started to talk "Congratulations you won a stuff animal, please take your time in choosing one of these few options." He pointed out to the regular sized stuffed animals and I chose out this lime green frog. The man who was working there handed it to me and I looked at the frog with pure joy.

 "I can't believe I managed to win a stuff toy that quickly" I thought to myself.

I felt like someone was staring right at me so I decided to turn my head over where Tanaka was standing.

He was the one staring at me.

Tanaka quickly turned his head back to the bottles, frowning. He seems pretty sad, but why would he be sad now? Is it because he doesn't want to play this game? Or he does he regret bring me here? Or maybe, just maybe

He wanted to win me this prize.

 No one's POV

After Tanaka used up all his bouncy balls he ended up with no prize for Kiyoko.

"I'm sorry for not winning you a prize back there;" he said while scratching the back of his head. Kiyoko looked at him with love in her eyes, appreciating the fact her boyfriend tried really hard to win her a prize back there so she replied with "It's alright there's no need to worry about it! I'm just happy you tried your hardest just to win a prize for me back there. So thank you." she softly smiled at him still with love in her eyes.

(get me a man like Tanaka😔)

Tanaka looked back at Kiyoko with the same look in his eyes, happy that she didn't mind him loosing just this once. He was glad he has someone that is understanding and loveable as Kiyoko.

He found the one for him.

"Come on Shimizu, lets go find a food stand." He said looking at Kiyoko straight in her eyes, smiling brightly. (That's really attractive.) When Kiyoko looked into Tanaka's eyes she couldn't keep eye contact and kept looking away hesitantly but she eventually looked straight back. "Okay let's go." She responded with, looking a bit red after attempting to make eye contact with her significant other.

They went to go eat and when they were done they decided to go to the park and watch the fireworks that were about to go off.

Author's Note

Heyyy it's the author here! I'm sorry for always disappearing on you but I'm getting an office chair tomorrow so that means I'm not going to write stories on a stool anymore! So I'm hoping that when I write stories my back won't be in discomfort meaning that I hopefully will write more with comfort.
