Chapter 1

I woke up to my stupid alarm I looked at it, oh crap I'm going to be late.

I jumped up and ran into the bathroom and did my daily routine I also didn't have time to straighten or curl my hair I opened my wardrobe and got my outfit for today on.

     (Her outfit)

          When I came out of my room elena and Jenna were talking "You're feisty today" Jenna says "I feel good, which is rare. So I've decided to go with it" Elena speaks.

I'm happy she feels good today she usually seems off, well its been like that since.... Since they died.

"Where is Jeremy" Elena asks
"He left early, something about getting to wood shop to finish a bird house" Jenna awnsers.

Oh right did I mention Vicki is in the hospital.
When her and Stefan went to the Bon fire, Jeremy found Vicki unconscious in the woods.

"There is no bird house is there" Jenna sighs. I finally speak up "Sorry Aunt Jenna but there's no bird house. Elena are you ready to go?" I ask her.

"Yeah, let's go" Elena smiles.

I run quickly but carefully down the stairs trying not to trip.

But luckily I make it out the front door in one peace.

I was in class with Elena
I was sitting in an extra chair they got for me.

"I'm sorry are we bothering something
Ms.Gilbert, Mr.Salvatore" Mr tanner speaks.

Hes always been an butthole.

I was trying to find Matty. Elena told me I could go find him.

Once I found him I went over and jumped on him "Matty!!" he caught me "Hey Mels, do you wanna come with me to see Vicki?" Matt asked "Oooh, yess please" I responded childlike voice. "Okay I'll tell Elena so she doesn't get worried on where you've ran off to" Matt reach into his pocket and got out his phone I watched him as he messaged Elena 'Hey Elena I have Mel's.
We're going to see Vicki'.

He put his phone back and started walking.

We were walking through the hospital.
We stopped at a room that had '204'.

We opened the door and walked in.
I saw Vickis bed but no Vicki. Matt had a confused look on his face as he sat me down. We both turned around and saw Vicki we gasped.

Vicki looked weird "Hey Vicki its me Matt" Matt spoke he put his hands on her shoulders and she started to freak out my eyes widened and I backed up into the wall.
Vicki was screaming.
Matt rushed out i was somewhat frozen in shock as I heard faint 'Nurse!'s being screamed.

Stefan burst through and in a flash he had Vicki pinned to the bed
"An animal attacked you and you blacked out thats all you remember" Stefan said.

Vicki repeated what he said.

Stefan walked over to me "Hey Amelia look at me" he said crouching to my level I looked at him with a scared look on my face "All you remember is Vicki calming down and getting back into bed I was never here" he said

I nodded quickly.

There is no way Stefan is human, I mean he just mind controlled Vicki!

I just stood there with a million questions running through my head.

I blinked a few times Matt and a nurse rushed in "She seems fine" the nurse said and walked away.

Matt was looking at something in the hallway Matt started towards whatever he was looking at so I followed him.

We were following a figure, it walked into a room where people were donating their blood Matt and I walked over to a curtain and he swung it back to reveal a opened window we looked around "come here Amelia"

Matt picked me up and adjusted me on his hip.

We we're in Vicks room but they both we're asleep.

I got bored so I decided that I was going to leave so I got up and walked out of the hospital room.

A couple minutes later I found myself walking out the exit.

Once I made it to the parking lot I bolted through it and into the woods right beside the hospital.

I had managed to climb a tree.

After a bit of just chilling up there I decided to go home so I grabbed the branch swinging down and dropping off of it.

I started to walk.

After what felt like forever I made it
outside the house.

I walked up to the porch and through the door.

I heard Aunt Jenna gasp "Oh my God Amelia where have you been" she asked she took me in a bone crushing hug.

Once she let go I explained everything.

I was getting ready for bed.

Turns out Vicki was released from the hospital.
I got into bed and soon enough drifted off.

I was watching the comet.
As it was the night of the comet.

I sighed as I remembered all the times me and mom would sit here talking about things or how me and dad would star gaze on the night of the comet so many painful reminders that their gone.

I started to tear up as I felt a hand on my shoulder "Mels, are you okay?" Kay asked.

I nodded and she pulled me into a hug, we held each other for a bit and we let go "Thanks Kayleigh, you've always been there for me" I said with a small smile that she returned.

We were sitting there talking when Elena rushed over to us "Hey, girls have you seen Vicki she's missing" Elena asked we shuck our heads 'No'

As she speed walked away Kayleigh and I looked at each other and sat our candles down before we took off into the parking lot.

We looked up and saw a raven haired man, Stefan, and....Vicki? "Uh please tell me im not hallucinating" I said.

Kay responded with "Nope, unless we're both hallucinating, then no you're not" I think they heard us because Stefan and the raven man's head snapped down towards our direction.

I grabbed Kayleighs arm and we ducked behind a car.

I was getting ready to get into bed when I heard a noise outside.

I got up and checked it out

there was nothing that I could see so I turned around and shrugged the creepy feeling that I was being watched off and got into bed

until darkness consumed me.
