I got home from work at around 8pm and couldn't stop thinking about Amelia. And Seattle. but mostly Amelia. Sofia went to her friends house after school so I had to pick her up in 30 minutes. I decided to cook dinner now that way it was done and ready for her when she's home. I decided to just make pasta because that easy ans I wasn't feeling very chefy today. I check my phone as I walk to the pantry and have a text from Amelia. "Hey Az! The hotel I'm staying at just flooded and we had to evacuate. Don't Worry, everyone's ok. I hate to ask this but can I stay at your place. I'm only gonna be here for 3 more days anyway so it won't be that long. If I can't stay that's totally ok I'll fine somewhere else" The text read. "Oh God! Of course you can come! Glad everything's ok" I replied. "THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU'RE A LIFESAVER!" she texts me and I smile. I like that she still calls me "Az". I text her my address and go to pick up Sofia.
Sofia gets in the car from her friends house, "How was Maya's?" I ask. "Great!" she replied and I smiled. "Do you remember my friend Amelia?" I ask her. "Dr Shepherd?" She asked confused and I nod my head. "I remember her from Seattle! She was always with Auntie Mer and she babysat Zola all the time!!! She was so fun! God I miss Seattle. Anyways why do you ask if I remeber her?" She questioned. I smile when she said she missed Seattle. "Well, Today at work she was there for a case. The patient was too sick to travel so she had to come to New york. Well she was staying at a hotel that flooded and gad to evacuate. She needs a place to stay for 3 more days so I told her to crash here. "Sounds fun" Sofia said and I nods. "Well we should probably get home faster if we're having company over! We have to clean out house is A MESS!" I tell her and she whines. "Cleaning is boring" she complains. " I know but we don't want a messy house for our guests do we? " I say ans she looks at me weirdly. "Mom you never try THIS hard when you have company over. You're acting like you like Amelia or something." Sofia jokes and I guess I make a face because i hear Sofia call me out. "YOU LIKE HER! YOU BLUSHED! OMG!" she says to me.
