 Maya's P.O.V

"MAY NO! WATCH OUT, THERE'S AN ENDERMAN! KILL IT, KILL-"

- EllieWolf was slain by an enderman -

I could tell Ellie's face was full of rage. I heard her slam the table before throwing her headphones on her leather chair. I giggled, adjusting my white ones so I could hear her properly. Ellie and I were playing Minecraft together, communicating over a voice call. I was back in my home country, Valdania, as I needed to gather supplies for when Rosewood starts in a week. Ellie screamed loudly into her black pillow, she had a whole computer console set up just to talk with me. I left Maradova no more than 3 days ago and all I wanted was to return back to enjoy the time with my friends before school started. 

 This would be my first ever year in Rosewood hall, a school for the Righteous, Resolute and Resourceful, and I was accepted into it. It was such an honour, I've never been to a real school before and the fact going to Rosewood would be my first experience excited me. "Ellie, calm down!" I laughed, moving my avatar in the game "Here, I'll give you your stuff back."

Ellie ran back to her gaming chair, arranging her microphone with a huge huff. 

"There's barely any stuff to give back. EVERYTHING BURNED IN THE DAMN LAVA!"

Not more than two minutes later, Ellie turned around to face her door, a wasted face plastering over her angry one.

"Ok Ellie, playtime's over," a familiar voice said.

Two figures entered the room with lightened smiles, Jamie and Lottie. "Hi May!" Lottie waved, beaming a bright smile to the screen, I waved back. My boyfriend lowered his head to fit the camera "Hey."

I gave him a shining smile while Ellie groaned again "I have two minutes left before Lottie gets to talk to her,"

The rebellious princess' avatar took the things I dropped for her then punching me. A mischievous grin crept up onto my lips.

"You wanna fight, Ellie?"

I pulled out my Netherite axe as a threatening sign for her to take a step back. I saw Ellie's expression change to scare as she left the game "Lottie, you can talk to her now!" she exclaimed, mockingly patting her arm on Lottie's shoulder. I burst into laughter.

 Leaving the game, I left the voice call and dialed Lottie's number on my mobile phone. I had. promised Lottie to show her around the Valdanian royal castle. She took Royal History as her elective and her summer project was on ancient palaces. Lottie answered the call "Hi!"

"Ello, how long do you want this tour to be?"

Lottie rubbed her chin, I heard a muffle of Ellie's whining and Jamie's small lecture in the background "Hmm..20-30 minutes? When are you coming back?"

 Our plan was simple. I go back to Valdania to pack stuff for school, then I return to Maradova so we all could travel to Rosewood together! It was much better than making me go there on my own, I would've gotten lost and probably end up in the kitchen or something. Rosewood was something Ellie and Lottie looked forward to their whole lives and now I get to join the experience. 

"I'll go back tomorrow, spending another second here with my brother may kill me."

Lottie giggled. What Edmund did to her back then was unforgivable, I even lectured him about it. Well..not lectured, more like screaming into his ear until I punched him. I remember feeling powerful and ruthless that day.

 I gave Lottie a simple tour of the Valdanian palace. It was a barren place, it didn't feel like a home to me; it felt like a prison. I returned back to my room, and slumped onto my bed. "Got all the notes?"

Lottie nodded happily, I still could hear the small murmurs of Ellie and Jamie. Those two never stop arguing do they? Caramel hands took away Lottie's phone. Jamie stared into the bright screen "We have to get Ellie to grow up..again, talk to you later?" I saw his eyes roll at the mention of Ellie. Lottie's voice was trying to console her in the background. 

"Definitely," I grinned a little bit and blowed him a kiss before hanging up the call. I threw my phone on my pillow, Haru was still out there and we were his targets. Leviathan would make sure Rosewood Hall wouldn't be a good experience for me but I didn't care. I had my friends and boyfriend, they can make me smile like no one else could. I pouted to myself.

Whatever was out there, we could face it.
