As a child Chouko was happy. She loved playing with her friends and family. She loved to help her mother around the house and she loved to go to the gardens with her father, but as she got older her parents started being around less and less which lead to their relationship fading. Her parents had started getting busy with their work which left no time to spend with their daughter. When Chouko started school her parents started to get strict; wanting her grades to be the best in class and if they ever got below an A she would get punished because she was tarnishing the family name with her failure. Due to this, she started to close off from her friends and started to focus more on her school work. This all started in 1st grade and continued as the years went on. The older she got the more her parents expected greatness for her. So that's what she did. She would wake up get into uniform, gather her things, and got get a quick breakfast. She'd get to school an hour early every day to make sure her homework was done and to be completely ready for the day. She has been doing this since 5th grade.
When she hit middle school her parents put even more weight on her as they would tell everyone she would become one of the greatest occultists in the world and carry the family name to greatness. Knowing this her teachers started to expect perfection from her now. So now she couldn't mess up or the outcome would be catastrophic. She felt alone, she had shut everyone out and she had no one left. She searched the library shelves for anything that would give her the comfort she longed for. After a while of searching she for a book on summoning spirits and ghosts of the past. She took it and tried her hand at it. It was like a lost talent she forgot she had. She summoned spirits and befriended some.
When she was finally in her mid-teens high school was around the corner. Her routine got stricter, she'd now get up extra early and get ready, have breakfast, and get to the school 2 and a half hours early. Her homework was finish, her desk was neatly organized and she'd start to set up the clubrooms for after school. Now in high school, she joined the Broadcasting and the Occult clubs and was granted the leader position not even 5 minutes after joining each club. These were things she was passionate about and her passion got her some new friends. She felt cared for again. All though she might not show it too much, she loves her friends and feels happy once more. She might be reserved and timid due to the everlasting weight of her family legacy on her shoulders, but when it's time for the clubs she feels the love and kindness her memories have longed for once more.
