The veil of death is very dangerous to dogs (and people)

First things first, HAPPY (kinda late) PRIDE! *trumpet fanfare and rainbow banners* I accept you and you are wonderful, no matter what anyone says! Next, this story is slowly but surely coming to an end, thank you for all your support.

Harry seemed a mix of bewildered and angry to see us, which wasn't out of the ordinary for him.

I surveyed the area, glass and pieces of the ceiling raining down, spells being shot everywhere, mass confusion and yelling? Sees like a typical wizard on wizard battle.

"Okay," I started, shifting my grip on my sword. "Will, you go tie up the dudes with the skull masks."

Will pecked my cheek and ran over to the unconscious Death Eaters.

"Haze, make sure the ceiling doesn't collapse on us or any of the order."

She nodded and placed her hand on the wall, drawing her imperial gold spatha to deflect and spells that came her way.

Now where the Hades (sorry Hades) was Sirius Black?

I made my way steadily across the room, shadow traveling around large mounds of rubble when necessary. I could feel my self tiring (having just woken up from being unconscious due to shadow traveling 15 minutes ago), and the loud noise and things collapsing weren't helping my concentration.

I spotted Molly and Lupin working side-by-side and figured I must be close.

A few more seconds passed by, each filling me with dread, was I too late?

It appeared Harry and a few of his friends (except Hermione, who they carried because she was unconscious) had also made it past the Death Eaters and debris, he was pointing at me and saying something I couldn't hear. Most of them looked at me bewildered or suspicious, except for Neville and Luna, who shot me a thumbs up.

There was a large CRACK, and Dumbledore, in all his majesty, was directly above me in some doorway. His face was stoic as he jumped down (somehow not breaking his old bones) and started to help secure the remaining Death Eaters.

Only them did I hear the grunt in pain, I turned around to see the last dueling couple, Bellatrix and Sirius Black.

They were far to close to a veil that let out an aura of Death and the Underworld (which is not a great aura to have next to you when you're fighting).

"Come on, you can do better than that!" Sirius roared, egging the witch on like a mad man.

"Black!" I yelled, trying to catch his attention. "Get away from the veil, it's—" but just as I was about to finish, a red spell shot from Bellatrix's wand and hit him square in the chest. Time slowed, I heard screams of horror coming from behind me, Harry ran to save his godfather as Sirius flew through the air, I saw the look of mingled fear and surprise on his face, before the veil enveloped him. I could have sworn he'd mouthed something to Harry, but I wasn't sure.

Bellatrix gave a laugh of triumph, then ran through one of the exits that hadn't collapsed.

"NOOOOOOOO—" Harry screamed in anguish, cutting himself off with a sob, he tried to run to the veil but I grabbed his arm and held him with every bit of demigodly strength I had. Lupin came to help me hold the struggling wizard, he whispered condolences and reassurances in his ear, I only managed to catch one part... "There's nothing you can do, Harry. . . nothing. . . He's gone." Lupin was torn apart inside too, his face looked even more hallow then before and tears streamed down his face.

Harry eventually stopped struggling and crying his godfathers name as if that would bring him back and cursing the already departed Bellatrix, he sunk to his knees.

A look of pain crossed his face, his eyes widened as he clutched his scar, then he took of running through the same exit Bellatrix had gone through. Dumbledore gave me a look that said 'Stay here, I'll be back.' then followed behind him.

Wonderful, the end of yet another chapter.
Anywho, yesterday I went to the theaters with my mom and sibling to watch In the Heights (amazing musical by the way, highly recommend it). Hope you have a great day!
