I enter our team's lounge room, only to find it empty. Most of the agents are probably out on their missions, research, or investigations.
As I continue to make my way in, I realize that I'm not completely alone. I notice a girl sitting on the far right.
Agent 009.
Or you could say Lisa.
She looks very busy and doesn't notice me until I pull out a chair to sit. She walks over to me and hands me an extra cup of coffee.
"Thanks." I smile and look up at her.
"I heard your mission was a success, that's good to hear." She grins.
"Yeah but I've already got another one."
"Really? What is it?" She quickly replies, a lot more interested than I hoped. Though I wish I could tell her, this is something I've sworn to keep a secret.
"Confidential" I wink.
"Then it must be a big one." She says taking a seat.
"How's your mission going in the military?" I ask in an attempt to change the subject, but I'm actually very curious. I don't know much about it, but I do know that she has to keep track of someone we consider a suspect.
"I still have to keep an eye on the general. He's the one who's been secretly wiring money from the government to his account."
"So why haven't you arrested him?" I ask, honestly confused. I may not know much about the mission but that seems like a big enough reason to take him in.
"We don't have any evidence." She takes a sip of the coffee she brought me and shoots me an apologetic look. I laugh, reassuring her it's okay. I'm not very tired anyway.
"I was sent there to catch him red handed." She continues.
"I'm sure you'll be able to do it." I smile, before grabbing my coffee cup from her and setting it across my desk, far from her reach.
She laughs loudly. "Oh you crack me up." She sighs. "But yeah, I have to go, see you later Y/N!" I hug her goodbye and she continues to giggle as she makes her way back to her original table.
Lisa is the only one in the agency who uses my first name, and I like it. It makes me feel a little more human.
After finishing up at the office, I head back to work. That was a long overdue lunch break, but it's okay. I hope no one questions me, but the second I walk in, Jisoo corners me.
Spoke too soon.
"Where'd you go?" She asks.
When I don't answer she asks again. "What is it? Is something bothering you."
I sigh. I'm not ready for this mission, but I don't really have a choice do I?
"Well... you know that guy from yesterday? He's not that bad after all..." I twirl a piece of my hair.
Jisoo gives me a questionable look and I continue to smile at her, trying to look as convincing as possible.
She then grabs my hand and immediately starts squealing and jumping up and down. "Sooooo you like him?" She asks excitedly.
"No!" I almost yell. "I was just wondering where he is."
Jisoo rolls her eyes. "He'll be here soon."
I nod.
"Should I set you guys up?" She says, getting excited again.
She just doesn't quit, does she?
