I'd been flying around aimlessly for a while now, my long, black wings stretching outwards as they carry me through the air. Birds sing in the trees around me and different wildlife stalk the ground below. I come up to a lake and fly downwards, allowing my hand to brush through the clear water. That's when I remember my Mother needs to speak to me.
Apparently there's something important she needs me for, which is strange, she never talks to me, I'm usually left alone to roam about whilst she attends her royal 'duties'. She never has time for me, even when I was younger she'd isolate herself from me. I never knew my Father either, Mother said he was an amazing man but that's all she tells me. She won't even tell me what happened to him.
________________________________Flying upwards just above the trees, I reach the palace and head inside to find my Mother. Like usual, she's sat on the throne looking cold and emotionless.
"You requested to see me, Mother?" I say as I walk up to the throne.
She stares at me blankly before finally replying. "Hide your wings. Your presence is needed in Asgard."
"Why?" I question.
She looks annoyed and answers my question quickly. "I've been told not to tell you that, you shall find out when you get there."
I sigh and turn around, my wings slowly disappearing into my back as I walk through the doors. I hate having to hide my wings, it doesn't feel right without them.
I walk for a while and then make it to a large clearing in the woods, which is where the bifrost lands to collect me. I'd only ever used the bifrost once, I had to go with my Mother to Asgard when I was younger but I didn't really understand what was happening. It's a very beautiful journey, all the colours, all the stars, however the nauseous feeling that came over me really ruins it.
Once I arrive on Asgard, stood in front of me is a tall man with golden armour on.
"Welcome, Y/n." He says.
I go to say something but before even a slight noise can escape my mouth, he speaks again.
"Odin is waiting for you in the throne room."
It takes me a minute but I manage to figure out who's speaking to me. Heimdall, the guardian of the bifrost, it makes sense that he's here.
"Thank you, Heimdall." I reply with after a minute.
Looking towards the golden palace, I notice a long bridge with many colours on it. It looks like it stretches for miles, and I had to walk from one end, to the other. It would be so much easier if I could use my wings... But according to Mother, that's far too risky. I've never been given a reason as to why it's risky, I don't see what could possibly go wrong. But I guess it's like that one Disney song, mother knows best.
________________________________I finally make it to the end of the bridge and stop outside the palace. Now that I'm here, I have absolutely no idea where to go next.
"Y/n, is that you?" Someone questions from behind me.
I turn around and see a tall, beautiful woman with long, wavy hair stood behind me.
"The last time I saw you, you were just a young girl." She spoke.
"Do I know you?" I question, curiously.
"Right, how rude of me, my name is Frigga, your Mother is quite a good friend of mine." She said. "You're looking for Odin, aren't you, dear?"
"Yes, I am, I just don't know where I'm going..." I reply.
"That's alright, I'd be happy to show you." She says as we begin walking into the palace.
________________________________Frigga shows me where the throne room is and leaves me next to the massive, golden doors. Now that I'm standing outside of the room, I realise how nervous I actually am. Why did the all father want to see me of all people?
I brush past my nerves and head inside the throne room. Just as I expected, Odin sits at the end of the room on his throne.
I make my way to the other side of the room and curtesy just in front of the throne. To my left I notice someone staring at me curiously, his eyes wondering my whole body. He has long black hair that reaches his shoulders and is wearing green and black. That's all I could make out from where I stood.
I look forward waiting for Odin to speak.
"Lady y/n of Vanaheim, it's a pleasure to have you back on Asgard."
I try my best to concentrate on what he is saying, but I can't stop my eyes from wondering over to the long haired male who is standing at the side of the room. My eyes meet his for a second and I notice a smirk creep onto his face as I bring my attention back over to Odin.
"Loki of Asgard and Y/n of Vaneheim, to preserve the peace of the realms, you are to be married here, on Asgard."
