VOICE
What’s the point in having a voice,
If you can’t voice out your thoughts.
The moment you start telling what you feel,
there are other voices to shut you out.
Everyone wants their voice to be final,
even though it’s your life.
They plan a life even before you are born,
and they expect us to live that way.
Where all that matters is what others say,
and only silence is expected from you.
They love us and we love them,
but what they don’t realize is that,
how much we want to live our life
the way we want to.
Not for others,
but for ourselves.
And the fact that they love us
makes it hard to fight back.
We are afraid that we might hurt them,
afraid that they won’t love us anymore,
afraid that we might lose them…
