He walked carelessly into the forest. It looked even more interesting with every step he took. Flowers and different colored plants everywhere he turned.

Even the fruits and vegetables peaked his interest. He had never seen them in the wild, only on an expensive gold plate back at the castle.

He had to hurry if he didn't want to get caught though. Error would most definitely come looking for him if he took to long. Not to mention Sci who would probably feel a change in the atmosphere. After all Ink was the prince of the sky.

He made it to the coast. It looked even more magical in person. The river varied in colors, depending on which angle you looked at it.

Ink stopped himself from jumping right in. Even if he was curious, he didn't exactly know what was underneath the water. He opted to lightly touch the water. It seemed strange. It was freezing, but somehow the more he touched it the warmer it got.

Looking at his normally milk, white bones through the water, they seemed to change to a more pearly and see through white. Strange. What was also strange was that the water wasn't clear like normal water.

Though it was some kind of clear it still had a faint shade of other colors mixed into it. He continued to stare and touch the water curiously as he wondered what could be under it.

What he didn't know was a little bit in the distance someone was watching him. A small skeleton that was Ink's age was cautiously and curiously watching him.

He had a very regal look to him. From the yellow and blue outfit he was wearing. To the gold crown that laid delicately atop his head, though it barely looked like a crown, being that it was only a gold ring, it was only a beginner crown anyway. He had never seen anything like Ink. Unfortunately for him he got a little too close and Ink spotted him.

"Who's there?" Asked Ink, with the bravest voice he could make. Dream dived back into the water quickly before Ink could confront him.

"Wait come back." Ink yelled worriedly, thinking that he lost his chance to perhaps see somebody who lived down there.

Dream hesitantly took his head out of the water, but only just enough for him to see Ink. Ink looked at him in amazement. Then he smiled.

"Hi." He said softly as to not startle the other.

Dream was hesitant to come any closer though Ink seemed nice enough. Even if he was a creature Dream had never seen before.

"It's okay, I won't hurt you." Ink said softly. That seemed to convince Dream a bit more. Most people would not go any closer, but Dream was very curious and naive, being only thirteen years old after all.

He slowly swam closer to Ink. Ink beamed his eyes changing to a green and yellow star. Ink sat down close to the water, and waited for Dream to come closer.

He studied him. His eye sockets were very peculiar. They did not have eye lights, but instead a yellowish void filled the space. He also looked rather ghost like with the water trailing behind him. His bones were also more of a pearly white, like the ones Ink saw when he looked at his hand through the water.

"What's your name?" Asked Ink. It seemed to take Dream by surprise. He slowly answered.

"Dream." He said softly. Ink smiled.

"My name is Ink." He said in a cheerful voice. Dream smiled. They continued to study the other.

"I'm sorry I've just.... never seen someone like you." Said Dream as he smiled sheepishly.

Ink laughed in amusement. "Actually I've never seen someone like you either." He said as he furrowed his brow in thought.

"Do you...........live under there?" Ink asked curiously. Dream nodded happily. "Can you.....come out?"

Dream faltered and his eyes widened. "It's okay you don't have to it's just-"

"No it's okay I've just......never tried to leave." He said. He curiously looked at the ground next to Ink. Ink smiled and nodded, telling him that it was alright. He slowly left the water, though it was more of the water delivering him to the ground.

His bones turned from pearly to milk white. Two white eye lights appeared in his eyes, though the yellowish voids stayed. A yellow and cyan cape appeared behind his back while yellow boots appeared on his bare feet. Small, green vines went up his arms and feet like bracelets.

Dream seemed amazed by what was happening. Ink seemed surprised that he had never been on land. Even though he had only ever been on the land once, other than this time, he thought that everyone had been on land at least once.

"So where do you live?" Asked Dream.

"In the sky." Ink said sadly.

"Is it bad up there?" Dream asked confused as to why Ink's mood changed.

Ink shook his head quickly. "No it's just I wish I could go down there." He pointed towards the water.

"Why can't you?"

"I- I don't know, they just said I'm not allowed to." Said Ink, now stuck in thought.

"Well they aren't here right now." Said Dream devilishly.

Ink smiled. He was about to throw all caution to the wind, and jump into the water, but a familiar voice stopped him.

"Ink!" A voice pierced through the forest. Dream dived back into the river to avoid getting seen by anyone else. His original appearance coming back to him.

Ink looked to see if he could find Dream, but the water seemed to cover everything, if anything, that was under the water.

A small skeleton ran up to Ink. He had glasses and a lab coat. Wherever he walked he left a trail of white flowers.

"Ink did you see anything." He looked over to the water.

Ink didn't know how to respond. "Umm-"

The skeleton grabbed him by the hand and started running back to the way he came. 'I hope we can meet again soon, Dream' he thought in his mind.

"Dream!" A skeleton yelled from under the water.

He looked dark and goopy. Four black tentacles sprouting from his back. He grabbed Dream with one of them and brought him close.

"Dream you aren't supposed to be this far out." He said angrily. Nightmare looked at Dream's shocked and worried face, and stopped. "Dream. I have a serious question. Did you see anything?" He asked sternly.

"I-I-I." Dream sputtered. Nightmare didn't take that response well. He started to swim quickly into the distance, as he dragged Dream along.

He dropped Dream in front of an ominous looking house. "I'm sorry." Nightmare muttered. Suddenly Dream's vision went black.
