Chapter 1 - Confusion

Kai didn't know what to do. She never felt this way about anyone before. 

"I can't have feelings for a girl! Its- It's not right! It's a sin!" When she said this her heart ached. She loved everything about her. Her hair, skin, eyes, style, everything you could think of! Cassandra was perfect to her. But the question was if she liked girls too... Kai pushed away these feelings and tried going to sleep. Only to be tossing and turning the whole night. Eventually, she fell asleep, but not for long. Her sleep felt like 20 minutes!

 Her mom woke her up for school and she was a nervous wreck. "How can I face Cass? Oh gosh, I can't do this, I should have faked being sick.." She said to herself. Soon she arrived at school and noticed Cassandra waiting for her, looking cuter than before. Kai blushed and jumped at her, others giving weird stares while both girls giggled. They both got up and walked in, waiting for their first period to start. Fortunately, they had the same 1st period. Kai dropped hints throughout the whole day but it never felt like Cassandra noticed! Sure, the hints were subtle but she didn't think that was an excuse.

 Cassandra picked up on this and asked why she was acting clingy. Kai got really embarrassed and had to think of an excuse. "Uhm... uh.. I've been feeling real... Uhm... SICK! yeah.. sick.... hehe.." Cassandra didn't believe this but brushed it off anyways. She was going to get to the bottom of this, one way or another.

It's Lunchtime and both girls brought their lunch from home. "Hey loser, you brought your own lunch from home today huh? Well, you know the drill. Hand it over!" Oh how Cassandra hated Lukas, she wished Kai never dated him! "Lukas, can you not? Just because we broke up, that does NOT mean you can just bully my friend! And don't talk to her like that! If you treat her like this again, I'll punch you so hard your eyes pop out of your ears." Kai spewed. Lukas was shocked, and a little scared. He decided to back away but not before throwing another insult. "FINE! have fun with your girlfriend!" He then ran off with his friends, snickering.

"Girlfriend..?" said both of the girls at the same time, they weren't dating! Cassandra decided to try and change the subject. "Ugh, just ignore him okay Kai? He's stupid and doesn't deserve your attention. Anyways, what'd you bring for lunch?" She thought this would work to change the subject, and it did! But Kai still felt weird about what he said...

It's now after school, and the girls had already said goodbye. Cassandra and Kai were now at home. But Kai was still uneasy from the insult. "We aren't dating! We will never be dating! She does NOT feel the same way about me- wait.. what am I saying!? I can't like her like that, it's a sin..." She felt so frustrated about this situation. "It's whatever! This will all go away by tomorrow, I don't need to put thought into this." 

I guess it was safe to safe both girls went to sleep that night. But one took a lot longer than the other...
