~ Summer ~

I woke up on the floor, as usual, realizing that I had yet again tumbled out of my bed and onto the dust covered tiles. I yawned and stretched, blinking as I adjusted to the morning light. It was nearing the Windblume Festival this year, and people were going wild with their decorations. I could hear nails being forced into walls to hold up wreaths, and garland rusting as the wind blew by. I stood up, looking down at my pajama pants, and wiping them off before exiting my private room to where my dads shared the rest of the house. They insisted that I take the room, as they're all getting old and would much rather be able to not move than walk all the way up the stairs to get a solo suite. I refused at first, but eventually just let it slide, as long as they promised that if they were uncomfy they would tell me. I started making coffee and eggs, enough for everyone, and rang the little bell we had in the kitchen to signify that breakfast was ready. I heard mumbles and shuffling before a line appeared at the door of all the old adventurers that were ready for their servings. I chuckled and talked with them as I dished out their food, finally settling into a conversation with some of the last few and finishing my meal with them. I threw the dishes into the sink, hearing one shatter before muttering, "Of course..." I shook it off though, and waved goodbye as I walked out of the front door, already being greeted by Fischl.

"Hey Ben!" She practically hummed as she plopped down beside me. It wasn't unusual for me to hear her speak normally, though for others this would be some rare occasion. I'm one of the lucky few she will talk to without trying to hold up her reputation as the Prinzessin. I smiled at her as we walked, admiring how here blonde hair shone in the sunlight. I wish mine would do that...

"Hey! What's up?" It wasn't unusual for her to greet me by my front step in the mornings, but it became a bit more tedious nearing the festival, as my morning errands wuld take her to a completely opposite end of Mondstadt.

( just gonna end it here bc i feel like it <3 ill update later )
