Chapter 12: Purple. Purple Everywhere

Just like the last time the trio arrived at the corruption, an Eater of Souls came to them right as they entered. This time, instead of running away, the group stood there. The Eater, with it's many eyes, noticed Zach's Light's Bane and Bell's Demon Bow. This made it angry, and it tried to attack the group. It opened it's mouth wide and charged at them. But, before it could do anything, Mike blasted it with his new staff. It easily died. They looked around, and noticed a chasm leading far underground. Mike had to resist the urge to jump down. 

"Don't worry, I've got this." Zach said.

He grabbed all his rope and threw it down into the cave, and tied the end that he held to a rock.

"Well, down we go."

The trio slid down the rope and entered the Underground Corruption.

They looked around, and saw these weird things with teeth, like weird demonic altars.

"Wow, those look weird."

"I don't... think we should be here..."

The trio was about to go back with their magic mirror. Suddenly, they heard a loud cry. An Eater of Souls. They turned toward it. Mike blasted it, but it was too late. Suddenly hordes of Eaters arrived. There were also Devourers. 

"Woah, worms." 

"The Guide was right, we were not prepared with our past gear."

It was an all out battle. Bell shot into the Devourers' mouths, and due to the unholy arrow's piercing capabilities, they died nearly instantly. Zach and Mike fought the Eaters. 

"Phew. That was close."

The trio went back home.

"You're back." The Guide said.

"We got nothing out of that." Zach said.

"Actually, I picked up these purple mushrooms!" Mike said, as he pulled out the vile mushrooms.

"Are those... Vile Mushrooms?" The Guide asked.
