Chapter 16

After sleeping for 3 hours I decided to wake up Allison and we started training a bit around 4am. I wasn't going all out because one of my wounds is still bad. Yesterday made my wounds worse so only two of my wounds healed while the other one that I reopened and it needs another day to heal. Allison is good with swords but she's not even close to Avery's or Rachel's level. We were training until the sunrise and I knocked Allison down and pointed the edge of my sword at her neck. "You still need to work on your stance, and pay attention to your opponents footwork." I said, offering my hand to help her up. "I know, I know, let's go again. I think I can win this time." Allison said, taking my hand to stand up. She got into a fighting stance and I got into mine and we started fighting. We clash our swords together and I smirked at her. She's definitely a fast learner and she was about to sweep me off my feet until I kicked her away from me and threw my throwing knife at her and it landed next to her face. I accidentally cut her cheek and was about to tell her we could stop but she ran up to me and swung her sword at me and I dodge it. She almost got me until I grabbed her wrist and made her drop her sword and I dropped my sword as well and pinned her on the ground with a knife pointed at her neck. "Fucking hell..." Allison said, breathing heavily. I wiped her cheek because she was still bleeding and I said "That's enough for today, go to Crystal so she can check out your cheek." I got off of her and put away my knife. I walked to the wall to grab my throwing knife and wiped the blood off. "No Seth I can still keep going! Please one more time!" Allison said, walking up to me. "I said that's enough, besides you barely got any sleep so you need to rest and I don't want to reopen my wound as well." I said, walking out of the training room.

Allison was about to say something else but I closed the door on her. Sasha and Rachel were training and they saw me. They wanted to talk to me but I ignored them and walked outside of the building. Avery was installing sidecars to the motorcycles since we only have two bikes and we decided to leave in tonight to get to Oregon because it will take us 3 to 4 days to get there. I heard something and I pulled out my pistol and looked everywhere. Avery saw me and walked up to me. Ever since I thought I saw my brother I have been more cautious because after dinner last night Rachel and Avery looked around the building and he wasn't here at all. "Seth, it's okay he's not here and if he was we will be ready okay. Go back inside and get some rest." Avery said, putting her hand on my shoulder. I sighed and put away my pistol. I nodded and walked back inside. I walked up to Rachel and Sasha and apologized that I ignored them. I looked at Rachel's collarbone and my ears went down because when she told me that she got bit, I kind of blamed myself because I wasn't there to help her, Allison, Sasha and Avery out. Luckily Allison was there to save her but if Allison wasn't there, we would've lost Rachel that day. "Seth, are you listening?" Rachel said, tilting her head. I looked at her and rubbed the back of my neck. "I will take that as a no, I said do you want to come with me and Avery to go hunting, we know you can't go all out but you're strong enough to take out a beast still, we need to find more supplies and gas for the trip, luckily we found a gas station but that would be tricky to get since it will probably have rogues inside." Rachel said, thinking a bit. "Yeah sure, I will help you out, I just need some rest that's all." I said, yawning a bit. "Okay since I know you only slept for a bit and you were training with Allison as well." Rachel said, sitting down next to Sasha. "Speaking of Allison, Why are you acting cold to her?" Sasha said, looking at me.

"What do you mean?" I said, sitting down across from them. "Well ever since last night you're keeping your distance from her and it seems like you're avoiding her as well." Rachel said, looking at me as well. "I'm not trying to avoid her, okay. Rachel you know I'm not good with people that I l-" I stopped myself. What was I about to say? Do I like Allison? No I can't get close to her, because if something happens to her. I will regret it everyday. I looked at Sasha and Rachel and they were grinning and were waiting for me to finish my sentence. "I'm not good with people that I lookout for, now if you excuse me, I'm going to sleep." I said, walking away from them. I walked into the room and I saw Crystal and Allison talking. They saw me and Crystal was grinning as well while Allison's face was red. Maybe she has a fever. "I'm going to rest. Please don't mind me." I said, about to lay down until Crystal stopped me. "Take off your shirt, I need to clean your wound right now." Crystal said, grabbing the bandages and rubbing alcohol. I sighed and took off my shirt. I glanced at Allison and she was staring at me. I was confused and shrugged my shoulders. I sat down in front of Crystal and she was about to clean my wounds but she got up. "I think I hear Sasha calling my name, Allison can you treat Seth's wound, I will be right back!" Crystal said, walking out of the room. Before she left she winked at Allison and was smirking. Allison glared at the door when Crystal left and took a deep breath. She grabbed the rubbing alcohol and bandages. I was staring at her while she was taking off my old bandages and started cleaning my wound. The other two scratches turned into scars. They turned scars fast because wolves wounds can heal twice as fast compared to a human's. That's why we will get more supplies before we leave tonight. Allison finished cleaning my wound and started wrapping my upper stomach with the new bandage.
