The sound of water splashing and deep inhalations snapped Marley from her daydream. She stood up from the chair by the front door and ran into the room. Everyone stood around as Scott, Stiles and Allison climbed out of the baths.

"I saw it, I know where it is," Scott said, stepping out carefully. Marley walked over to the side table and pulled three towels off the pile.

"We passed it. There's a stump, this huge tree. Well, it's not huge anymore," Stiles said quickly, scared that he might forget if he stopped talking. "It was cut down. But it's still big, though, very big."

"It was the night we were looking for the body," Scott said. Marley walked around the puddles of water and handed Allison a towel, not looking into her eyes. She moved to Stiles next.

"Yeah, the same night you were bit by peter," Stiles said, taking the towel from Marley and dabbing his face with it.

"I was there too, in the car with my mother," Allison said. "We almost hit someone."

"It was me, you almost hit me," Scott said. Marley stepped towards his and put the towel over his shaky shoulders. Scott grabbed the ends immediately and held it close to his body, Marley rubbing his shoulders.

"What?" Allison asked as she saw everyone look around wearily. Lydia locked eyes with Marley and they shared a scared look. A look of defeat.

"You guys were out a long time," Isaac said.

"How long is a long time?" Stiles asked.

"Sixteen hours," Marley mumbled, her hand still on Scott's shoulder.

"We've been in the water for sixteen hours?" Scott asked, turning to look at Marley's expression, a mix of worry and seriousness.

"And the full moon rises in less than four."

...

"No, dude, you're not going back with them," Stiles said, his hair fluffy after air drying.

"I made a deal with Deucalion," Scott said. Marley leant again the wall next to Lydia, feeling like she needed some sort of comfort.

"Does anyone else think that sounds a lot like a deal with the devil?" Stiles asked.

"A demon is different than the devil, Stiles," Marley said, crossing her cold arms.

"Why does it matter anyway?" Isaac asked. It wasn't his fault that Marley felt bad, but he wasn't doing anything to help his cause either. Allison had chosen to sit next to him, making Marley feel sick once again to the point where she was numb. He could have moved away, but he didn't.

"Because I still don't think that we can beat Jennifer without their help," Scott said. Marley had to agree. The sacrificial bitch had beaten Derek several times, so Scott's little beta ass wasn't gonna have anymore luck.

"He trusts you more than anyone," Allison said. "Tell him he's wrong."

"I'm not so sure he is," Deaton said. "Circumstances like this sometimes require that you align yourself with people you'd normally consider enemies."

"So we're gonna trust him, the guy that calls himself death, destroyer of worlds? We're gonna trust that guy?" Isaac asked.

"I wouldn't trust him, no, But you could use him to your advantage. Deucalion may be the enemy, but he could also be the bait," Scott said, making a plan clear in his mind.

...

"Just grab anything? Stiles, I'm not smelling your dad's boxers," Scott said into the phone as him, Marley, Isaac and Allison walked out of the elevator. "Socks? Okay, I'll smell the socks."
