Jordan's POV
Waking up this morning felt different. You weren't excited to go back to Silverstone and all you wanted to do was stay in the comfort of the warm king sized bed. The sun was beaming through the curtains of the hotel room and you sighed. There was no use or trying to get anymore sleep, although you definitely needed it.
You had spent most of last night crying into Megan's shoulder over the shit show of a situation that you have gotten yourself into. Megan tried to calm you down and talk you through it but it was no use as you couldn't get any words out over your uncontrollable sobs. It felt stupid to cry over someone you barely know but maybe it was because Lando is someone that you have looked up too for a while. Formula one is your favourite sport and he was your favourite driver, but after the events of last night, thats ruined now. You can't look at him without seeing the emotionless look on his face when he told you that he didn't see you as more than a friend but who were you kidding. Obviously that kiss meant nothing to him, you were probably just one of many girls that have been in a similar situation with him.
Finally convincing yourself that you should stop moping around and get ready, you sit up and stretch your arms over your head, trying to push out any negativity from your body. You run into the shower and stay there for a while just enjoy the hot water falling down your back.
As you were getting out, your phone rang for the bathroom counter. Wrapping your towel around your body, you look at your phone to see who's calling and it's a FaceTime from Charles. You chuckle slightly before answering with the camera aimed at your bare face and soaked hair. "What is it with you calling me around shower time" you teased at him. Charles looks back at you through the camera with wide eyes. "I'm sorry Jordan! Should I call you back?" You laughed at how uncomfortable he seemed, very different to your last shower phone call. "Don't worry silly, your all good. What's up?" He smiled in response. "I just wanted to check that you were ok... I saw you run out of the paddock yesterday" oh crap yeah, you completely forgot that Charles tried running after you. The smile on your face disappears when you yet again remember what you are trying so hard to forget. "I'm ok" that's all you could say. You didn't want to go into detail or even talk about it, especially not with Charles as he was a big part of it. "Can we talk about something else?" You ask Charles not wanting him to push on the subject. He nods at you and smiles "are you coming to qualifying today?" "Yes we are, I'm very excited!" He goes silent for a minute and he looks like he's thinking about something. "Do you maybe want to spend the day in the Ferrari garage?" A huge smile landed on your face. "That would be amazing!" He chuckles at how excited you have got. "Great! I will get it set up and ask someone to meet you at the entrance. Text me when you get there" you both say your goodbyes and hang up the phone.
You run back into the bedroom still in your towel and jump onto the bed to wake Megan up. "MEGAN WAKE UPPPPPP" you shout at her whilst jumping up and down excitedly. She groans at you and pushes you away. "What on earth are you doing and how are you in such a better mood than last night?" You sat on the edge of bed and explained the FaceTime with Charles and told her that he invited you both to spend the day in the garage with them. After 5 minutes, Megan was just as excited as you.
Soon enough, you were both rushing around trying to find the perfect outfit for the day. You decide on a pair of grey jeans, a satin champagne coloured crop top and a mint blazer. You paired this with white heels and simple gold jewellery.
