*Caryn's POV*
"Guess what I have!" I teased as I entered Landon's house. We both have keys to each other's houses, so he knows it's me.
"YOU GOT THEM?!"
"Didn't I promise I would?" he hugged me so tight that I had to remind him to let me breathe.
"I really owe you, Car. Thanks a bunch!"
"Don't you always? And it's no trouble, I just waited in line for four hours, no biggie."
"You're crazy. What are we waiting for? Put it on!" I put the disc in the CD player and we listened to every single song... twice.
"Which did you like best?" Landon asked. I had to think about it, because honestly, I really liked all of them. The song that stood out to me most was Adam's Song, because of how different it sounded than the rest of the album, especially with Mark veering from his usual deep-pitched voice.
"I really liked Adam's Song, but I feel like All the Small Things is going to be a bigger hit. How about you?"
"Same here. We really do have the same taste. The Party Song reminded me of you, how'd it go? 'And then I saw her standing there, with green eyes and long blonde hair, she wasn't wearing underwear...' well maybe except for that last part... or is that right too?"
"Of course you would say that... but yes, I am wearing underwear if that is any of your business!" I couldn't help but laugh. This is just how we joked, I know he didnt mean anything by it. I decided to turn on the radio station we always listen to so we don't get too tired of this new album. When the radio started talking about Enema of the State, I wasn't surprised.
"Blink-182 has released their newest album today, called Enema of the State. I'm sure it will be a big hit, considering the success of their last tour and album, Dude Ranch. They have also announced that they will kick off their 1999 summer tour here in New Jersey on June 15th! That's just two weeks away, be sure to get your tickets now!"
As soon as I heard this, I ran to the door and Landon stopped me. "Where are you going?"
"To the box office, where else?!"
"Let me pay this time, you paid for the albums, let me pay for the tickets."
"Fine." I said with a sigh. I hate it when people pay for me. It makes me feel useless and like I can't hold myself up, which I can. The car ride there was silent, but not awkward. The radio was playing All the Small Things, and we finally arrived at the most deserted box office in town. Landon went up and ordered the two tickets while I stayed in the car. Even from this distance, anyone could see how built he was. He's not buff, but very built. His arms are pretty large for a man of his stature, and only I know that underneath his shirt, he hides rock hard abs. I noticed I was staring when he turned around and started heading back to the car. I looked away hoping he didn't notice, but I shook those thoughts out of my head. Sure he may be cute and all, but he's my best friend. It would never work. Plus, I'm not very good at relationships, and I don't want to see him hurt. He's been hurt enough. Landon enters the car smiling from ear to ear.
"Front and center baby, as always!" I cant wait for these two weeks to pass. I must've shown that emotion, because he just stared at me waiting for a response.
"Ahh! I can't believe we got tickets to their first show of the whole summer!" This should be exciting.
