I woke up that day realizing what I had done: I had sex with my best friend hours before my first date with Travis Barker. I still hadn't told Landon about that, and I wasn't planning to. I woke up at roughly 7:30, giving me less than two hours to prepare for my date. In a state of panic, I quietly got out of bed and ran to the bathroom. I took another shower, and with all the thinking I had done in there, it was 8 o'clock when I finished. Landon still hadn't woken up, so I continued to get ready by doing my hair and makeup. When I was completely ready, I woke up Landon.

"Hey, I'm going to White Castle, do you want anything?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't want to join me.

"Umm, yeah. I'll take three little burgers. Want me to come with you?"

"No, I just wanna take the ride and think a little. I'll see you when I get back. Might be a while."

"Alright." He said, making no reference to what happened just hours earlier. It wasn't a drunken mistake, and it wasn't a one night stand, because we're friends. Just a one time thing, never to happen again, right? Anyway, I was in the clear. On my way to White Castle for my first date with Travis Barker and there were no questions asked. Thank God. In the car, I thought about everything. It won't be hard to hide the fact that I got laid today, I just won't think about it. I checked the time, and it was 9:15. Damn. I'm late, as always. Hopefully he's late too, so I won't feel as bad.

When I got to White Castle, I wasn't paying attention and ran into someone who was coming out of the door. "I'm sorry!.. Travis?"

"Caryn! I didn't think you were showing, so I was leaving..." he chuckled awkwardly.

"No! There was traffic and I fell asleep at home and I didnt have that much time to get ready. Sorry about that."

A smile grew on his face, and he grabbed my hand and walked us into White Castle. I wanted to get to what happened last night, and being as blunt as I am, I asked him. "So. What actually happened last night? I've been dying to know."

"Wow, you really do get straight to the point, huh?" He smirked. I gave him a look to go on, and he began to tell me. He told me how I threw my bra onstage saying I'd get it back later, how I ran into him backstage much like we did five minutes ago, how I wanted to go somewhere more private, how we went to the Harry Potter-like room, how I passed out and he carried me back to Landon, and how they got into an argument.

"Wow, I'm such a drunken idiot." was the only thing I could think to say after hearing about my adventures last night. He laughed, "Drunken? yeah. Idiot? not really. You can't be that much of an idiot if you picked me over Tom or Mark."

"Eh, well, I'm not too sure about that one." I said playfully.

"Trust me, it was a great choice. I'm the..best...hey! What are you looking at?!" he said, and after he noticed me staring behind him and laughing, he turned around to see Tom and Mark making faces at me through the window. He motioned for them to go away, and they shook their heads and walked inside.

"Is this the girl you were talking about ALL DAY?!" Tom screamed, obviously trying to embarrass Travis.

"Dude, can you guys get out of here?! We were having a good time! I love you guys, but now is not the time to come and talk to me." Travis was obviously getting annoyed, so I tried to make the situation better.

"It's really no problem, if you think they're annoying me, they aren't." Travis shot me a look that said "Thanks a lot" sarcastically and watched Tom and Mark sit down. Mark just stared at me while Tom and Travis argued. It made me a little uncomfortable, especially considering that I thought he would figure out what happened with Landon and me earlier. I acted like I didn't notice him, but after a while of being uncomfortable and shifting my position waiting for Tom and Travis to stop arguing, I looked over at Mark and smiled. He smirked at me and looked away. I think he knows. Travis said he was talking to Landon last night... you don't think they exchanged numbers... do you? I started to panic but tried to hide it. Mark noticed and smiled. He came over to me and we started talking.

"Are you okay? You look kind of uncomfortable over here." Mark asked, although it seemed like he was dangling my little secret in front of my face.

"Yeah, I'm fine... Just, why were you staring at me like that?!" He laughed, as if he thought I would've figured it out already.

"I don't know, maybe it's the fact that you have ketchup all over your face?" He reached toward my mouth and wiped it off and showed me. I let out a sigh of relief. He doesn't know anything. Even if he did, would it be that big of a deal? It was before my first date, and it really wasn't his business.

"Ohh, that would make sense. I was kind of scared for a bit, like you just sat there staring at me." We laughed, then noticed Tom and Travis stopped arguing. They were looking over at us to get our attention.

"Mark, let's get out of here. We crashed their date, and Travis here is going to beat me up if we stay any longer." Tom said, and Travis looked pleased.

"Fine, I'll see you guys later. Your name is Caryn, right?" Mark asked.

        "Yup, that's me."

        "Cool. Later Gators."

Tom and Mark walked out and made faces through the window before getting in their car and driving away. "Sorry about that.." Travis said, embarrassed.

"It's fine, my friends would do the same thing." We sat there for about an hour, talking about life and things in general. I loved his voice and his style, and pretty much everything about him. I hoped he was having as good of a time as I was, because I thought we really hit it off. When I checked the time, it was 10:30, and I had to get home to Landon and give him his burgers. I ordered them and waited in line and talked to Travis. Just then, I saw him. He came in and stared me down, just watching me with his mouth in a straight and tight line. I returned the stare, but with my mouth hanging wide open. "...what are you doing here?!"

"Well, I came to see if you were alright, considering you took like two hours at White Castle, but I'm obviously interrupting your little 'date' here, so I'll be leaving now." Landon said, walking out the door and toward his truck. There was no use going out there to stop him, and all I could do is sit there with my mouth wide open, shocked. He won't forget this, I know it.
