The flash of light died down, and Chris and I were leaning on the base of a tree, stunned. I tried to move, but couldent, and no sound came out when I tried to speak. Just when I thought things couldn't get ANY worse, a HUGE four-armed stone monster came running out of the smoke SRAIGHT for us!!! I could only get 1 sound out of my mouth. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! Just when it was about to reach us, I heard someone shout "grass knot!!!" and a strange green mini-dinosaur with a... BULB?! on its back wrapped a vine around the other monsters legs, bringing it crashing to the ground. A boy jumped out of the smoke and extended a hand to me. "Here." he said friendily. " I'll help you up." I took one hand, chris took the other and the boy pulled us to our feet. Chris fell down again, and the kid laughed. I took this time to get a good look at him. He had spiky blonde hair and was waring a double wrap-around belt, jeans and a shirt that said "poke'ball. But he also looked... torn up! He had three huge scars over 1 of his eyes, sort of like a claw mark. And the hand that he used to pull me up with... for the first time I realized It was METAL!!! A completely functional metal hand, painted red with a glowing blue circle in his palm. "Your body's seen better days, huh kid." I mused. The kid grinned and said, "you could say that. But don't worrey, it's just a glove." He opened a panel in the metal glove, pressed a few buttons, and with a whir, a click and a hiss, he removed the glove to reveal a scarred, clawed, bashed up hand. "OH GOD, PLEASE PUT THE GLOVE BACK ON!!!!!!!!!!!" Chris screamed in terror. I coulden't blame him. That hand had been scarier than the giant four-armed-stone-monster. He grinned and put the glove back on. "Scary huh!" he laughed. I nodded. "And my eye is only HALF blind." he said. Then he extended his metal hand out to me. "The names Teddy. Teddy Birch. It's been nice talking!" I took his hand and shook it. "Zack Dymondchip. And I could say the same!"
